Insurgency:Sandstorm weapons realistic inaccurate problem

I find out that many weapons in the game have certain realistic inaccurate problem.
1.The magazine of the Uzi is weird.
2.The window of PMAG on the MK 18 CQBR(Mod 1) doesn't show the remaining ammunition.
3.The stock of AKM is wrong.
4.The Alpha AK(AK 105) used 5.45x39mm,not 7.62x39mm.
5.The Remington 870 sort of mixed up with Remington 870 MCS,it has Remington 870's forend but it also has Remington 870 MCS stock.
6.The bolt of SKS(Norinco SKS-D)is not supposed to lock back after last shot.
7.While reloading an empty M24, you still can see bullet inside of it.

  1. ????
  2. the PMAG probably just isn't feature complete. I'm sure NWI is aware the bullets do not show in game and they probably intend on fixing this later on.
  3. the AKM stock uin the game right now is actually correct, get your information straight before you post. real AKM stocks have the dimple.
  4. the Alpha AK is probably the AK104, which shoots 7.62x39, not the AK105.
  5. the pistol grip stock can be put on a standard M870 and they're both the same gun, there's nothing wrong with the one in-game
  6. you are incorrect. it does in fact lock back, I've fired norincos before lol.
  7. sounds like a bug, NWI should hopefully address that.

1.The magazine of the Uzi is weird.

Yup. It looks like they modeled a 32 and 40 round mag then made them hold 25 and 32 rounds. My guess is the 3D model was made first and then the round count was adjusted for gameplay balance. The Uzi isn't the only gun with this problem: the AK series extended mag holds 35 rounds in game while a 40 round mag is modeled - and there's no such thing as a 35 round AK mag in real life that I'm aware of.

2.The window of PMAG on the MK 18 CQBR(Mod 1) doesn't show the remaining ammunition.

I assume this is a case of there not being functionality in the game code to show remaining ammo in the magazine. Maybe it'll be added later? I assume they expect to add it since they made the decision to use the windowed P-Mag rather than a solid one.

3.The stock of AKM is wrong.

Looks like both the AKM and AK74 use the same stock in game. While not strictly correct, the two are interchangeable in real life, so it's possible for this to happen.

4.The Alpha AK(AK 105) used 5.45x39mm,not 7.62x39mm.

It might be, it might not be. It's impossible to say because there is no such thing as an "Alpha AK" in real life. The name comes from heavily modified AKs run by Russia's Alpha Group, but there's no set specification for what makes an Alpha AK. Most examples I've seen are modified AK74s, which would mean that they are 5.45mm, but there's no rule to say it needs to be this way. My guess is for gameplay purposes they wanted another 7.62mm AK since they already had the AK74 and AK74SU

5.The Remington 870 sort of mixed up with Remington 870 MCS,it has Remington 870's forend but it also has Remington 870 MCS stock.

Stocks on the 870 series are easy to swap and varieties are plentiful. Changing the stock doesn't make it not an 870 anymore. The main feature of the MCS is the interchangeable barrels, which isn't something modeled in Sandstorm.

6.The bolt of SKS(Norinco SKS-D)is not supposed to lock back after last shot.

It is supposed to ... not that it always does. Not all mags allow the feature to work, and not all SKS rifles are in perfect working order. But the rifle does have a bolt catch that's designed to hold the bolt open after the last shot.

Can you tell the difference now?

I talking about MCS's unique hand grip and forend.
