I have not determined whether this occurs if you get inside as driver or in the other passenger seats, but it seems to create some really buggy looking visuals where some equipment from the carriers would float around or be completely removed.
In the first image you can see armor & carrier gone but some of the backpack stuff still floating behind the gunner, in the second picture there's a body laying out the technical, stripped completely of available armor and gear. The gunner also displays some floating equipment behind him, clipping through the technical.
