M9 Model / Sights

I'm really not big on the new model. I don't get how the sights actually make sense. For some reason, I actually liked the brick sights in the previous patch over these:0_1537042409692_20180915134542_1.jpg0_1537042566892_20180915134548_1.jpg 0_1537042136455_20180915134545_1.jpg
I think the M9 model in PUBG would make more sense overall:0_1537042195230_20180915131006_1.jpg 0_1537042202077_20180915131012_1.jpg 0_1537042207603_20180915131016_1.jpg
And then of course there's my dumbass who likes equipping cheapish weapon skins:0_1537042251098_20180915130943_1.jpg 0_1537042254761_20180915130951_1.jpg0_1537042540780_20180915130954_1.jpg
The M9 in PUBG just feels more like an actual M9. handles like trash though

EDIT: Looking over this they actually look kinda similar sight-wise. I'd be nice if the sights in Sandstorm were just a bit easier to see.

It's because PUBG one has a night sight, they are both similar to real life M9. Beside, PUBG can't even model the trigger to single action position.

I just feel like the gap between the front sight and the back sight is too big on the Sandstorm M9 whereas it's pretty small on the one in PUBG. That being said, while I don't want night sights on the pistol, a simple three-dot sight would make more sense, like the Insurgency M9. The pumpkin-on-a-stick sight would also work. I just want an actual sight lmao.

That being said, PUBG's attention to details and animations are a "meh" at best, and the main reason I have a skin for the P92 is to act as a placebo and give me some hope that the gun will actually do something. The firerate's been nerfed since the 1.0 update so now the P1911 fires faster, which makes the P92 basically useless.

@marksmanmax inb4 everyone wretches because you brought up PUBG

Anyway, I really don't like it when the front and rear sight posts look to be so far apart. It's why I can't use the MP7's iron sights. Wouldn't mind if they were just a little easier to use.

Eh, the MP7s irons aren't too terrible. Yeah, they aren't very precise but if you're sniping with an MP7 you're probably not doing something correctly, considering an M9 does more damage.

That being said, I wanna at least have the option of sniping with the M9, because it is the best pistol on the Insurgent faction in terms of velocity, damage (because velocity helps determines damage) and accurate range. It's still only slightly better than the Glock 17, though, which has better sights, more ammo capacity, and an extended magazine attachment that basically turns your pistol into another primary weapon. Let's not even mention how OP the L106A1 is now, either.

@marksmanmax It could just be a "me" problem, but even at close range, I have trouble using the MP7's iron sights. The fact that the front sight post doesn't line up with the rear sight post really messes with me for some reason.

I just spray with it anyway lmao

That being said, I typically take the shotgun over anything else in the Breacher class because it's currently just god-tier.

Bumping because this is still an issue with most of the pistols in the game.

Welp nevermind the M9 has a three-dot sight now lmao.
