If you attempt to throw back a live grenade you'll pick it up and do a throw animation but it won't actually throw the grenade back. Seems to just go into your inventory and then you explode (see video clip below)

Conditions:

• Coop vs bots
• Community server
• F1 grenade
• Quick pressed 'F' to throwback

Nice find !
Doesn´t really happen often that a frag grenade falls right in front of your feet.
Normally it´s a body hit, sometimes even a head hit.
