I think that in some parts of the world, especially Asian countries, the term “zombie” doesn’t exist their languages. I’ve actually read that the term “zombie” originated from Africa. It was through the practices of tribal witch doctors that this term came to be. The witch doctors were believed to have used their medicine and Voodoo practices to “revive from the dead”. While there is no actual proof of such resurrection’s, there have been many reports across Africa of locals witnessing their deceased friends or family standing back up and walking around in a trance like state after a witch doctor visited the body of said deceased. It’s actually crazy how far we have gone in altering the original definition of a zombie compared to its actual origin meaning. From a tranced like, non violent, sleep walking person(African origins) to a rotting, decaying, cannibalistic, mindless, back from the dead, human. You should actually research this topic. It caught me by surprise, and was definitely worth the read and watched some of the documentaries of Voodoo witch doctors. Those people look and act terrifying! Check it out sometime you won’t regret it.
