I suggest that the criteria for matchmaking be updated to not put people into matches that are either clearly almost over or so far along that the player joining isn't going to get a satisfying experience.
I have experienced joining a match literally seconds before it ends. Which forces me to endure the delay of the end of round screen, finding a new match, and loading the map all over again. This is a fairly regular occurrence. In fact, I just now had it happen twice within 3 attempts to join a game.
I would hope that adding such criteria to the matchmaking wouldn't be too difficult but either way I think it's necessary.
