This is an infuriating glitch that I've ran into multiple times. You load into a game could be fresh or from a previous game and none of the classes come up for selection. The UI to the left of the map is completely empty. This results in you having to leave the game or being kicked for inactivity. I have not seen a way to remedy this in the game.
