pics are looking good fellas, keep posting up.
here is just a few quick shots from over the week.
Why people put down the Zil so much. it is not as bad as people make it out to be.
up hill, in mud, over sticks and fallen trees. lol
took a quick spin on Pixelmonkey's Badlands 2. quite nice so far imo.
just a random shot
of course i got to get some landscape shots.
@tinbird4322 oh they have not stopped building mods. spun is taking a break, monkey is working on a map and brute has something in the works also. now nix however has stopped releasing to the public for his own reasons.
@MudHappy i do not know why you seem to think the fellas are so "high and mighty" maybe because they actually happen to be some of the top guys with trail mods? maybe it is the public touting them up for the last few years? one thing is for sure, they are just regular guys like you, me or anyone here that happens to have a passion for the game. yes i am friends with them as well as other mod builders. all have their own level of experience and style, but i have only came across a few that actually have their heads up their wazoo like you are saying and safe to say they did not stick around or last long. still though, you have your opinion and i have mine. maybe if anything you should try to change some of this negativity into some positive feedback to a mod builder you think deserves it? it would go a much longer way.
oh i got some shots already. barely even started too. lol. so i got a bit of an early start to get an idea and game plan for exploring things. i like what i see and have came across, but i also have serious doubts about making the fuel point let alone the garage to unlock. then again i do not think this map was really made for the Ural in mind. idk though will see how much farther i can get. lol
little peek and as usual, no winching. so far....lol
i know this was the last update/DLC for the game, but there seems to be some serious slacking on this one. i also feel no real need to even say why, since everyone else above has basicly hit the nail on the head. one last DLC before the new game i like, only a person would like to think they would maybe try and give us something a bit more rewarding and worth the effort for the games "one last hoorah".
napco? way to over powered, that thing needs a serious nerfing.
GMC? i have no opinion yet since i have not driven it. i shut the game off before getting to it because i was disappointed with this.
map? looks good, in fact one of the best stockers yet. i hesitate to consider it the best since it is lacking in content (garage lumber/kiosk to help make the map more replayable).
updates and fixes? i know there is some of the update i am fully happy with, but have not looked into it all (patch notes are needed).
overall focus did ok with part of this DLC and update, but yet dropped the ball with the other half. pretty badly as well imo.
@jiefko92 let's see, it is a russian game made by a russian guy, that happened to be published first by an british company and now by a french company. yet many people from all over the world play it, so who's language should the game fall under then? well most obvious would be russian of course.
seriously though anyone can upload their mods and only make sense it will be in their native language. i mean i am american, so if i release something it would be in english, not russian or french or whatever. i expect the same from anyone else from another country. from my experience most people from other countries use a translator when talking to people, so what is so hard about it, if once and a while we have to use a translator ourselves?
@iyagovos thank you. you do a good job as a CM. it is nice to know things are passed on and is the most anyone could ask for now. i do hope someday there will be more dev/community communications directly, so it would be more working together than just listening to eachother. i can only hope someday maybe. although the community needs to get their act together a bit more though before that could all happen, but we shall see i suppose.
i am all for giving the community a balance in the game for all platforms, but sadly this is not the case. it is not just as simple as "hey, i want this in the game so do it or i will quit playing your game." now i have asked this many times and have still yet to get someone to answer me, even from the console side of the community. now i ask, just where was it said that consoles were going to get user created mods? all i have never seen this statement and have never had anyone find and show me this either.
let's face it, anything officially released for console will be a dlc not a mod. it will be something the company makes instead of user created mods. i am sure there are some mod builders out there willing to give their creations away to the company for free so they could possibly make money for the company. then there is the fact that some mod creators do not even want their stuff on console. yes believe it or not there are some who feel this way and would never give permission for their stuff to go to console. i will be honest in saying that i really could not see a good enough selling point for this game to go to console, other than so many people asking for it with the original game, but yet here it is on consoles. the thing is most people are little blind to the fact the company really only cares about it's game. not what the community does for themselves with the game. why do you think it is the community that has to fix things when mods break?
i do not think the OP sounds like anything other than they had a slight miss understanding of what they thought they were expecting from the game. i seriously do feel for the console side of things. so many people expected to get so much, only not to get what they were expecting. then again as i said above, console users were expecting more than what they were being told.
how difficult you want to try and make things is up to you, i think it will be fun to see how far it can go before it becomes too much.
think of logging with the likes of this as obstacles maybe. take your time and short loads i feel would be no real problem, but a fun challenge for sure. now trailers? highly doubtful with sections like these i would say, but sounds like a challenge someone would try. lol
but that is just me and you fellas know me.... lol
graphics i do not find as interesting at the moment, since we know this was something that would be addressed (making the game look prettier). i am more interested in the HUD layout, features and functions of controls, customizing, etc.... (more about gameplay).
