not a request persay, but more of a reminder/idea throwing really. i am a fairly busy guy so i can not check out all mods, so if i am mistaken and there are a few out there then my mistake.
a couple people i know were playing with the idea, but no one has really taken up on it from what i can tell. being able to actually see around you is so underrated lol. although maybe it was a flash in the pants thing that has passed now, idk. so i figure to throw the idea out there again. also while i am at it i guess i will say it again, it would be cool to see more animated parts on vehicles and attachments (ie: swinging ropes/chains, tool box/cooler in truck bed "loosely connected" so it can slide and move around a little bit while driving, little touches and things like this really add a lot to the mods and game imo.
rock/trail lights (brutes wip mod, although i believe forces was the first person i saw fiddling with the idea) note the lights on the sides of the bed rack just behind cab.
@conorbart093 might have been a bit much i will agree, but then again all the pics in one post would have been fine, instead of posting one pic at a time. helps cut down on the clutter on the forum and if asking anyone (public request) then leave it open to everyone, if going to call someone out then just PM that person would be better imo.
@forces interesting to hear about working on the ST trucks. will give them a look this weekend. i guess the trucks need a little suspension work, but mostly i feel it is the gear boxes that need looked at. gear 1+ is "nada" on most of the trucks. looks as though they also reduced the steering angles as well.
@unster i would not say MR is dead exactly, but for sure there has been what seems to be a resurgence for ST because of the updates and activity lately. other than that it just seems like the normal lull in players playing the game to me. you know how like things are slow until an update/dlc happens. which then lots of people play for a bit till the new update/dlc has been out for a bit and loses that "new shine", then the players tend to drop off till the next one. this is excluding those "hardcore" players to the game of course. lol
it can be done, in fact just about anything can be done within reason and game capabilities. a few of my buddies that build mods do just that. mix-match different vehicles parts to do a more "modified/custom style" build.
now of the not so good part. not all, but most builders i know make stuff for themselves and once they feel it is done or they have gotten tired of it and moved to other projects is when they tend to release things. they do not do request or at the very least it is very rare they do. however there are still plenty of people out there who are willing to do build requests, so do not get your hopes down. it may take a little bit before you find someone though.
sounds like a cool rig, maybe post a pic or two of it. that might be enough to inspire someone to consider it more. i have had friends do this, not interested in a build someone suggested, only to then see a pic of the said vehicle or a different style of build for that vehicle to get them motivated on the project.
best of luck with your project
@zamal cool, thanks for the heads up. i usually wait a good bit before checking to see if it has been updated, since sometimes there can be bugs that still need fleshing out. nice thing is this should be the last major update for the mod since things are heading towards MR2 now.
@invalidredneck not just your mods, i have seen this on almost every mod that i have came across, which is why i always keep my blur turned off it used to ruin so many screenshots before i finally learned.
i believe it does this because it just the way the blur feature works, the effect is more pronounce or more subtle depending on what is happening exactly as far as the cam movement, speed, up/down motion, etc... but i am just guessing really, i am no expert.
although if you feel it is more pronounce on your vehicles compared to others then i can only suggest you look into your stuff. which would make sense to me. if your mod are affected more than other peoples mods then there must be something going on with your stuff.
best way to guide your friend is to lead by example. you say you are a good player and it sounds like you have the idea on how to play, i recommend just have them follow you a bit while you explain things when needed till they get the hang of things. before you know it you both should be good at it.
but why play the waiting game? i just keep playing and once the mod gets updated i still wait till all the bugs are worked out. i figure since this is the last "big" update there should be no worry of needing it again once it is updated this last time. barr the editor being updated again after this.
i think i only got maybe a few weeks this last time playing with the mod before this update/dlc, then again i am also used to not using the mod tool anyway. only really use it for the camera, patch and longer/electric winch when i do have it installed. playing vanilla style is a good thing imo as well. basicly not having it helps keep from becoming spoiled i feel. lol
i figure there are plenty of auto enthusiast here and was curious as to what other shows people may watch. also maybe share some channels with others who might be interested.
will keep it short and simple with a few of the regular shows and a random pick or two off my list i watch regularly:
- Mighty Car Mods
- Grand Tour/Top Gear (both ended, but new show coming soon from the trio)
- Skid Factory
- Leno's Garage
- 4WD action (Aus)
- My Classic Car (started as a local show here, but has grown nation wide and have watched this guy since the first season)
- Wasabi Cars
- Dirt Everyday
so what car shows are you interested in?
@deathcoreboy1 just an FYI in case you wanted to know. you can delete the intro file to get rid of it. (intro.bik) in the main mud runner game folder or you can use the steam feature to by-pass it on start up also. although i forget exactly how to find that feature on steam, so someone else would have to chime in on that.
New old timer dlc is not good.
trees can't drive by truck and Garage can't get carry stuff.
Or Traditional game system better.
in the old way to play and do is more !
the map itself
I hope next time come back
Garage transportand Get Truck Parts
truck is driven by trees
Still mudrunner best Off-Road game, Thanks.
Couldn't get a sentence from this. I mean "truck is driven by trees"?? I'm sure he did not want to say that.
@deathcoreboy1 looks like classic Google Translate to me. i am probably a bit off here, but.....
"dlc is not good"
"can not load trucks with logs and no garage to get attachments"
"old system is better and allows you to do more"
"the map itself is good"
hopefully next time he plays it is fixed. garage, attachments, lumber loading"
"free roam with more rocky terrain" i figure is the last bit.
"MR best thanks"
