Hello, I've tried a couple matches with the latest beta patch and I have to say that I really like the new boarding mechanic so far!

  • Hulking is still an option, but it can be somewhat countered and it is no longer instant. I really like the fact that the player has to choose between countering boarding and maintaining the ship's efficiency.
  • I also like the fact that Necrons can regenerate crew points, this means that despite having half the number of ships compared to the opponent, the crew value to destroy over the course of the battle is kind of the same. If the next patch gives the Necrons a way to deal with their critical damage issue, I think that they will finally be the elite faction that they should be, without being too powerful. I think that making Pyramidal reconstruction a default admiral ability would do the trick.
  • I like that now Admech is more focused on long range fighting.
  • I'm not a fan of the Eldar torpedo change. Instead of reducing the number of charges on torpedoes this much, I think that it would be nice to make torpedoes appear as soon as they are launched, rather than when they are armed. This way the opponent would have more time to react. I'm not the best of players, so my opinion might not be the best one on this subject.
  • The despoiler double flight deck doesn't work, the squadrons launched from it are of normal size instead of double. I also noticed that number of launch bays was reduced by one. I'm not a fan of this change. Right now, there's no reason to pick the despoiler over the retaliator.
  • I think that Chaos lances need a damage buff. Maybe even a critical chance buff. Their good range is almost irrelevant. The opponent can close the distance almost unharmed.

Only issue of the necron mission is that the time limit is hidden, so many players, including mes failed the mission without even knowing why.

@thomasvg I had the same issue too. There must be a hidden time limit otherwise it can't be explained. Try to capture the points as fast as you can and you will succed. At least it worked for me.

I agree that the cutscenes of the first game were better. In particular the voice acting was almost stupidly more exaggerated in game 1 and I loved it! Don't get me wrong though, the second game art is still good.

@jellyfoosh I've probably explained what I mean pretty badly. This picture will make things more clear:

The leadership is 1650 as you said (green). What I'm talking about is the Fleet Capacity (red). Anyway, here's the save file 0_1549636492499_Imperium.sav

Hello, I finished playing the imperium campaign and noticed that the maximum fleet cap is 1000 points. I'm almost ok with the leadreship values, but the single fleet size is too low in my opinion. Even in MP we can bring 1200 points. When I started my campaign I thought that in the final stages I could have 1200 or even 1500 points fleets. I was a little disappointed when I discovered that the size won't go any further than 1000.

@usmc961 It looks like doom scythes are not designed to win aerial combat. There are too few of them to do anything. I think they're meant more for scouting and maybe taking out escorts. I do however agree that enemy ordnances have a very easy life against necrons, despite the starpulse. Maybe reducing starpulse cooldown would be enough to mitigate this.

@romeo In the tabletop description of the cairn it mentioned that the orks faced a cairn bigger than a spacehulk, although that could be consider "typical orkish exxageration". Even a simple thing like a giant cairn would do the trick for me.

@antheus no, you have to protect the Raven guard flagship during the first part of the mission, then it lands on the world engine.

Hello, I'm stuck at the Dark throne Mission (aka World Engine 2.0) during the Imperium campaign. I captured the first 2 points but then my campaign keeps failing. Spire doesn't die and there's no other objective other than his survival. What am I doing wrong? Is there a hidden countdown to capture the third point? I really don't get it.

Edit: I managed to do it. A user on Reddit told me that there's actually a time countdown and that the 3 points have to be capped quickly. It makes sense, but it would be nice if we had something that told us about it. Maybe a simple time countdown or a Raven guard captain life bar that gets depleted over time.
