Hello, I've just tried the new necron ships and I have some issues:

  1. The following ships have no starpulse: Scourge and Harrower. Is this a design choice or an oversight?
  2. The harrower has no fighters. Again: design choice or oversight?
  3. The light cruiser has both starpulse and fighters, which is something that other light cruisers don't have. While I like this because it gives necrons a cheap AA option, I'm again left wondering: is this a design choice or an oversight?

I really like the scourge. Necrons needed a carrier like this. However the launch bays description shows the same description of an imperial navy launch bay .

  1. When hovering over the launch bays of the scourge Grand Cruiser (brand new ship), it shows the description of the launch bays of the Imperial Navy.

@Jellyfoosh when will you be allowed to unveil more details? (Not necessarily about everything, things about the new ships will be enough for now 🙂 )

@canned_f3tus It can be possible to hold 4-5 sectors efficiently. Holding more than that is hard and actually pointless, since by the time you have that many sectors you will have a lot of income anyway. After you have secured your 5 sectors of choice, I'd suggest to hold only planets that give you an interesting tech and then abbandon them as soon as you've researched that tech.

I completed the imperial campaign on hard. I think that the key is to take your time. Decide what sectors you want to keep and consolidate. The urgency bar can be reset by completing a single mission, so you're not forced to be super quick.

@cool_lad I'm sorry, I disagree. If starpulse affected allied ships, then Necrons would have to waste their precious teleports in order to defend from ordnances. Teleports and starpulses have very long cooldowns. Necrons might need some new ways to deal damage, but I don't think that this is a good solution.

@admiralatlas that's exactly what I was thinking. Placing your reinforcing ship (almost) anywhere on the battlefield would be awesome

Hello, I've tried a couple matches with the latest beta patch and I have to say that I really like the new boarding mechanic so far!

  • Hulking is still an option, but it can be somewhat countered and it is no longer instant. I really like the fact that the player has to choose between countering boarding and maintaining the ship's efficiency.
  • I also like the fact that Necrons can regenerate crew points, this means that despite having half the number of ships compared to the opponent, the crew value to destroy over the course of the battle is kind of the same. If the next patch gives the Necrons a way to deal with their critical damage issue, I think that they will finally be the elite faction that they should be, without being too powerful. I think that making Pyramidal reconstruction a default admiral ability would do the trick.
  • I like that now Admech is more focused on long range fighting.
  • I'm not a fan of the Eldar torpedo change. Instead of reducing the number of charges on torpedoes this much, I think that it would be nice to make torpedoes appear as soon as they are launched, rather than when they are armed. This way the opponent would have more time to react. I'm not the best of players, so my opinion might not be the best one on this subject.
  • The despoiler double flight deck doesn't work, the squadrons launched from it are of normal size instead of double. I also noticed that number of launch bays was reduced by one. I'm not a fan of this change. Right now, there's no reason to pick the despoiler over the retaliator.
  • I think that Chaos lances need a damage buff. Maybe even a critical chance buff. Their good range is almost irrelevant. The opponent can close the distance almost unharmed.

Only issue of the necron mission is that the time limit is hidden, so many players, including mes failed the mission without even knowing why.

@thomasvg I had the same issue too. There must be a hidden time limit otherwise it can't be explained. Try to capture the points as fast as you can and you will succed. At least it worked for me.
