Ranked 1v1 didn t help at all to have new players it just switched players from 2v2 to 1v1 so ranked 2v2 won t help. To improve MP the game needs better balance especially on some core mechanics (crit, carriers) and more MP content (like additionnal modes, arena mode, galactic conquest...)

I won t list everything but IN got commissar skill and macros damage buff while Chaos not so saying nothing changed the balance between those 2 factions is false

It is already like that, 2 VP on "your" side of map, 2 on enemy side and 1 on middle but the position inside the "band" is random so it can be near deploy area or near middle "band".

The randomness is also the position between left and right, thats why sometimes all 5 VPs are on same side or enemy have 2 VP near each other while yours are on each sides.

My only concern about acid nid effectiveness is the range for hive ships. 13.5k base with 2 x 11dps make them too much powerful and able to compete against more range fighting dedicated factions

Its not as if ramming was hard to achieve with AAF and please this game needs more possibility to play like real naval warfare with ships shooting at them at different ranges not guys ramming/torpings/boardings because macros/lances are less efficient than dong alpha strike runs

I already did the math with previous damages but reload and lock on are far more beneficial to macro than to lances and thats why macros DPS skyrocket

IN was already better than Chaos and they both get the lance damage boost but IN also get a macro boost so no reason to play Chaos. IN now can burst with torp/RAM and have more consistant sustained damages while Chaos have much less options

Chaos lance +1 damage (from base 4) means 25% increase damage output, IN +3 'from base 12) means 25% damage increase output.
My concern is IN macros have been buffed but not Chaos so IN is even more buffed while being already performing well.
ALso Eldar vs Necron was already a fucked match up because 9k range weapons vs 9k range TP, now with the vaul manoeuvre skill it is even less playable

Part of the problem is also in the capacity of ships with AHF and eldars to kite easily. A global speed boost of squadrons will also greatly increase scouting potential of carriers perhaps too much. Another solution saw in a previous thread was to give bombers/assaults a huge (like 1000) speed when at 4.5k range of target to avoir this kiting
