Unless missiles refers to Tau seeking missiles which are working like torpedoes but with homing effect, macros and missiles weaponry are the same thing (aka accuracy + armor mitigated) only different name. Lances(zaps/gauss/ion...) are the other family of standard weaponry with 100% accuracy and armor penetration
Pure lance fleet have no purpose anyway, any Corsair or asuryani will have 80% damage reduction vs you. I think lances are here to provide the engines (in case of kiting chaos)/deck (for mutiny) crits than you need to control the pace of the battle. 2 Acherons and the rest of the fleet built around escorts for scouting and slaughter (brawling) or carnages (range) for dps can be a good way to go.
I agree that the campaign is good overall but the next one should benefit of some imporvement :
- Scenaristics missions are good but repetitive missions are not so I would prefer a shorter campaign which emphasizes more on the special operations
- Have more impactful choices : Missions when you have to choose something or having multiple missions at same time but you can do only 1 --> will improve the replayability of the game
- Less useless planets to improve : basicly you upgrade the income planets and the shipyards to get fleets, all others planets give bonuses but are far from priorities and are developped only if you have some spare ressources
I don t feel the new call to arms is a good thing. It removes the stance, share CD with orders and bring so much debuffs that your ship is useless and an easy target and only for partially removing the boarding damages.
A good player will not stack a shit ton of boarding but will use it 1 by 1 to force you to stay in call to arms for a long duration.
I think it would be better if either it becomes a real stance without debuffs but reducing the boarding damages for 1 or an order that don t remove stances and give 1 boarding damage resist for all stacks when the order is sued
@TAKT In addition, torps were a cherry on the cake and were able to finish the battle in 5min. With node, Asuryani still have the best broadsides ships of the game. Instead of doing some torpedoes run, now you will circle at 9k range all the time with node.
Asrynai needs nerf but it is linked to node not the number torpedo run you can do
