The microtransactions are only going to be cosmetic. They will not in any way affect how you play, the chances of winning, etc. They're literally only a different look. You can grind for them or if you're someone who doesn't have the time, you can purchase them with real money. The game isn't introducing lootboxes, supply drops, etc. So it isn't going to be P2W.
If you don't like the cosmetic items, then no worries - you can earn them by simply playing the game.
Well here's how I see. If the developers don't add females, people will be upset. If the developers do add females, people will be upset. I personally feel it's impossible too please everybody. Now as a gamer, does it bother me if there is / isn't females in game? No, it doesn't bother me. It doesn't affect me or my opinion on if the game is fun or not. The game hasn't professed to be a "historically correct" or "100% realistic". So in my opinion, I feel the developers should have free rein on the choices they take.
This is how most of Steam's games work. You add them through their social profile and can invite them on any game. Steam's done the work for developers and they can easily implement Steam's system while avoiding having to develop their own party system. I really don't see the issue considering you can search a friend and add them within less than 30 seconds. I don't think we'll be seeing this feature taken out of Sandstorm anytime soon.
Seeing the OP is spamming with replies and is ranting, I'm closing this.
The customization options are going to be pretty limited during the beta stage. We can expect more options once the game fully releases.
At the moment, the muting is bugged and doesn't work. The devs are aware and are working on a fix. We'll just have too wait it out.
Typically I'd say no but even users with high end machines had trouble running the beta, which is to be expected from a beta. For the official release in September, after they do more optimization, I'd say it should run fine. However, the minimum and recommended specs are yet to be determined.
Steam unfortunately attracts the more toxic and trollish behavior. That's just a fact. The likely hood of a trolling user to create an account on these forums are unlikely. The odds of a user who cares about the game who'll give fair feedback is more likely to create an account to share that feedback. Anyone with a Steam account can post anywhere on Steam, thus making it a much more cluttered field.I don't know the exact reasoning about that choice of theirs but I could see this being one of them.
What it means, is you were directing damage towards that person but another teammate actually killed that player. So you assisted your teammate in taking that player down.
I think this post here by Alex should be of interest to you.
This topic isn't going anywhere positive, so I'm locking this.
It's a known issue that many have been encountering. To my knowledge, there isn't a workaround at the moment.
@ldclaudius There is no plans for paid DLC at this point.
If you recently installed a new driver and are now experiencing the FPS drops, then it's probably the driver. One thing to bare in mind, new drivers doesn't automatically mean the're the best. I'd recommend reverting back to the old one and testing it again.
