Spires had taken his damaged fleet into the system, knowing full well that he would lose the battle.
Chaos forces were entrenched and Klampton’s dauntless at only half strength.
Spires looked uneasy yes he would lose but the urgency was mounting and the only strategy left to him was to secure a capture point and meet chaos head on. Play capture points as if it were cruiser clash.
Take out as many as you can and enter the warp was his order.
The fight was tough and the points ticking up, only one chaos cruiser damaged and Carrington’s firestorm gone into the eternal void.
Then it all changed for the empire of man. The flagship and two dauntless cruisers had ambushed the chaos flotilla and well, they are now in the eternal void.
“Warp out all ships spires commanded.”
The remaining chaos ships were damaged broken and yes they could keep the system but one thing was for sure, Spires would take it the next turn, there would be no mercy, no forgiveness, just hate and revenge.
The Cadia system had fallen and Spires had taken it back for humanity cementing a place from which to tame the void and close the rift that Abaddon the despoiler Warmaster of Chaos had created.
Spires pushed into the system, the rort was on, for Chaos there would be no where to hide.
Patch 01 request for consideration
Why cannot we have this option for campaign battles?
This will enable player choice to prolong score setting for longer time to enable cruiser clash whilst still having the capture point system so the games do not drag on.
Option to turn off capture points so that it is purely cruiser clash.
Just seems an obvious way to settle the issue regarding capture points without scrapping them all together.
Great game love campaign presentation and focus.
Summary of must haves.
- Cruiser clash mode
- Map editor for mods and custom maps
- Raise cap so we can finish off cruisers before cap ruins a good battle. Basic premise sound having capture points as a secondary way of playing, but cruiser clash is still king pin. The way it is now it feels like a timer rather than a good supporting game mechanic.
- Black map background as sometimes it looks just too busy, great for visuals but playing long sessions a option to turn off or diminish brightness of background skybox would be great.
- Keep up the good work.
Capture points ought to be a secondary mode of play. Conquest has always been the primary focus in battlefleet gothic. At least raise the cap to give payers the time to hunt down and finish off large damaged ships.
Cruiser clash is still top dog.
Escort ships do not win big fleet battles. They are support and scouts.
Like the campaign strategic focus, but hope to see more game modes in final release.
