@thehappybub Yeah, Agreed. TBH I only play the Australian server, and the vast majority of players seem to be pretty good.
@amurka Im level 87, It happens quite often. Afte rthe first few times I made a point of "burying" myself deep inside buildings, away from anything frisible
Just happened again.
killed a bot, nothing else in the room, went up some stairs, just get to the top and shot from behind. There is no way a bot or player could travel that distance in that time.
Tonight, at least twice in every game I've played, a bot has spawned right where I just walked. within a second or 2 of passing a spot, the bot spawns and shoots me in the back.
I'm up to level 84, so I've played a bit (I'm not any good mind you, just play a bit) I can say it's getting tedious the amount of times it's happening
You really need to consider who you play with if you want to continue the round understanding the team you have. Choice is yours, but others have the same freedom.
I like to think that more often than not it is accidental.
In CO-OP you don't choose your team, not everyone plays with the same team or is able to be part of a team for many reasons.
I've confused a female "security" figure wearing a head scarf for an insurgent on more than one occasion, by holding fire to be sure, you often end up dead as the bots seem to be able to accurately head shot you at 100 metres from the hip.
Often hitting friendlies happens if the player runs in front of a person lining up a shot with a scope, Or you've thrown an incendiary/molotov and a friendly runs through the flames, you can't control that.
All I ask is that if you accidentally TK me, give me a quick apology in the chat or headphones, it's only polite. I know I always do.
This happens elsewhere as well. I have cleared a path, ran along that path, only to be shot in the back by a bot that spawned right where I just ran no more than 3 steps previously.
Been in a room "defending", cleared the room and took up defence in a corner, sweeping the room to check entrances, look away for a second only to be shot by a bot that appeared from no-where.
Sure it could be lag (often I put up with 600+ ping) but even happens with a decent connection.
Many times I'm killed while taking cover inside a building. Not near a window, on the ground floor of a multistory building.
Fine if it was rare, fine if I was near a door/window or open roof, but when you get blown apart and the surroundings stay pristine so often, it gets tedious. Might as well stay outside, it's the same risk.
It's a great game, love it. But this, the respawning of bots right on top of you after you just cleared an area, and the lack of reward for anything but cap rushing takes the edge off it.
Basically agree, but not sure if it's the bots causing the rushing tactic. I think it's the other way around.
People who rush forward are causing the bot trouble for the more team focused player.
You're rewarded for getting cap points and blowing up ammo, you're not rewarded for helping out team mates with things like being tail end charlie covering the rear (A very important real-life requirement) giving supporting fire from MG/sniper to protect advances. etc
Lets face it, CO-OP is NOT CO-OP if you're being rewarded to always be the guy that caps.
Until some form of reward for team work is introduced, cap rushing will just increase, unless you get a team together and always play with that team. Something not all of us can do.
I've posted this before as well. 2 solutions come to mind.
Stop the enemy spawning in the respawn zone.
Have 2 different spawn points for each side, not re-using the same point for both.
much harder. Do something to stop people from rushing forward to grab a s many caps/ammo dumps as possible. They do it to maximise their score (as it's rewarded) but by them doing this they're creating the triggers that respawn enemy behind them. So the team mambers who respawn have to fight their way through, actually helping the rushers but with no reward. As they're being held up by fighting through, the rushers get further ahead, get more caps and more points. Doing nothing for the "team"mates behind who are making their life easier.. for no reward.
It's supposed to be CO-OP, and team play, but at the moment it's rewarding selfish play.
Why bother spawning a new player in, when the team is in the last minute or so of ending the game?
It's a frustrating waste of time for the team, and the player
