I’d be okay with this ONLY if the local and online progression systems are completely separate. This is because in local play you have access to commands (god mode, force resupply, disable ai, force respawn) in addition to being able to manually set the AI difficulty. People (maybe not you) would use these to quickly gain experience and points and that’s just completely unfair to the players in multiplayer and completely devalues the customization in general.
The enemy doesn’t hear automatic voice lines related to objective status. The voice lines that enemies do hear are:
Reaction to suppression
Breaching (and maybe reloading?)
Radial Command selections (voice lines you manually select to play)
In the meantime...these load outs have to be saved somewhere right? Is it possible to delete them from wherever they’re saved in the files? (A lot like how everyone was supposed to delete their character customization files after the alpha)
Totally agree. Being able to right click to go back would be a lot easier than reaching for esc or dragging the mouse across the screen.
Not necessarily, I don’t mean COD level weapon cosmetics. The weapons can have different realistic skins without breaking immersion. Also I completely agree that XP gain needs to be reworked, I was just saying that I wouldn’t mind having other objectives to work towards and giving out a suggestion based on the challenges in DOI.
Backwards caps are already in for Security (it’s called “Too Cool”). Don’t know that vests and armor will be customizable, but it’s a possibility. In general, customization will be expanded upon, as expressed in the latest development update.
I’m pretty sure that they also said they are working on character textures in the update. They’ve been working on facial hair for a while, it’s already a little better than it used to be.
They haven’t specifically said that you’ll be able to rotate you character, but I think that it would be a natural quality of life feature for them to add at some point.
Hope this answers most of your questions, feel free to ask any more you have.
I’m sorry your competitive experience has been that awful. The reasons you listed are why I want NWI to put effort into comp MM so that stuff like that is kept to a minimum. NWI isn’t desperately trying to make SS an e-sport game, they just want to give the competitive community a chance to grow and be successful.
I’ve seen your posts about realistic weapon damage and armor, and for the most part I’ve agreed. I see no problem with 5.56 having better armor pen, it’ll just need to be balanced by being worth more. Don’t see why the game can’t be both balanced for comp and realistic. The realism aspect is why I love Insurgency too. I love that it fits that middle ground between arcade shooter and milsim, which is why I think it’s the only game that could possibly pull off being both immersive and competitive.
How was it pitiful? What suggestions are you talking about? Reducing random sway?
