@maa_bunny Yeah that is the thing, animating them is huge work, but our friend Mr.Brightside is going to keep improving on them right >).
Edit: Although physics based objects are easier to animate on some softwares though, atleast from blender i remember you could make a dynamic simulation then add that to the animation by itself, its definitely not as hard as actually animating hand movements and stuff, but still time consuming, although some weapons are very similar in size so they could be reused with minor tweaking. It would be pretty darn awesome to see in the game, like some melee takedowns as well :), good thing about NWI is they keep improving on games a lot after release, hoping to also see full body awareness post release.
Yeah like just as default, it shouldnt cost supply points or affect the draw speed, its just those little details that improve the visuals and inmersion.
They're going to work on facial expressions, maybe theyll also improve the voicelines, but they took a lot of inspiration from source on them.
Visually it looks better and makes sense, i sometimes wonder how they hold the weapons on their chest and stuff(magnets i guess), its been really lacking from the past games and i hope you guys can add it to also improve on the characters and so on. Oh and also rocket launchers.
Look at the top right corner of the glasses and in the middle on top of them, theyre clipping through the watchcap, its some minor bugs that just make the characters look really weird.
Just like in source, i think it would fit well, with no armor at all why would you even wear a helmet, it just looked nice in 2014 and it would be nice to have nice cosmetic variants for each armor, maybe heavy armor having shoulder pads, etc.
First of all, its a beta, not all the gamemodes are in, or if Ambush isnt in release, it may not be that hard to mod it in, but it probably wont be official as they've said it would split the community.
Ap armor was a no brainer choice, you always took it, you one shotted everybody, thats why you may think a lot of the weapons one hit in source.
Heavy armor doesnt protect you that much tbh, you may be able to survive 1 or 2 more shots at long distances, but at close range you're fucked, you should be a bit slower with it tbh, still headshots are 1 shot as always, tagging is bugged which is an essential part of Insurgency, hoping they fix it next update.
Now the sway on aim after sprinting is stupid, it makes it really hard to hit enemies and should be improved.
