@emircan In CoD, which is very arcadey and has a lot of cool and arguably unbalanced gadgets, it doesn't matter. Battlefield is far from achieving what Sandstorm does in terms of gameplay balance, too, and the pace is much more twitchy and nervous. As for EFT, it's not the same game at all. The scale and high TTK make it okay to have such sights. Sandstorm is way smaller and that gadget would ruin the game to the point at which everyone would be forced to use it not to be left behind.
Read the topic I linked you, the debate already happened.
Basically the same topic. I absolutely disagree with such a proposition, as you can guess reading through the topic. Those are already in the game (2x kobra/holo sight/red dot), you just can't put the magnifier away. And that's a very good thing for gameplay balance.
Couldn't agree more about the eotech brightness. It's hard to see through, the light blocks the view.
Kobra sights have that problem too, even though due to its shape it has less of an impact on aim. It's still not as beautiful and realistic as it should be, though.
Thank you very much !
Secret edit of the 25th of May, 2019 : Yay ! The holosight reticle was fixed and it feels so great ! Thank you very much ! I'm editing this old message caus' I don't wanna up an ould outdated topic. No one's going to read this, but at least I know I said "thanks"
I always thought it needed to have less vertical recoil but more horizontal recoil. ADS time should also be higher, just as @Whitby said. The thing is heavy, so raising it on the shoulder should feel like something the soldier has to put effort into. Even more so when their stamina is depleted.
I guess if they don't fix it, we'll just have to wait for mods. That would be sad nonetheless.
@goongalajones That's because Security forces =/= American forces. In fact, if you take a look at what faces you can use on your security soldier, most of them are arabic and have arabic names too. Probably Kurdish people or whatever. important thing is that security side has american soldiers just as well as local arabic soldiers.
Same with insurgents, that have slavic soldiers on their side.
Sorry for upping my old topic, but since most people have moved from the pre-order beta section after the game was released, I thought it wouldn't be much of an annoyance.
The Eotech sight is still way too bright and thick to allow proper aim on greater distances. I'd really like it to be fixed, as it feels unnatural. Real sights have brightness settings, so I don't get why the holo sight still is that unpractical.
Escape From Tarkov does a way superior job at making Eotech sight realistic, and I highly encourage you devs to pay attention to how much better theirs is :
Now THIS is what I call a proper holo sight. It actually helps. ATM, flip-up sights are way clearer than holo sights. That's wrong...
I hope someone amongst devs reads this. Thank you for your time.
