Hi devs !
As I was playing today, I noticed that bots manning a technical mounted MG were still see-through walls and smoke terminators. I was on A, Summit, Insurgent side, and that techie pinned me with lazer accuracy through mortar smoke. I tried to go to the other side of the crates I was hiding behind, and the guy just instantly reacted to my new placement and killed me. The bots' reaction time when using MGs (even when they're not using MGs, sometimes, but hey) is inhumanly low.
I thought a good solution for this would be to add some inertia to the mounted MGs' movements. Like a delay between the moment we move the mouse and the moment the canon aligns properly. These are heavy guns, and atm you can just do 180° turns back and forth without anything to slow you down. Bots especially should suffer from that, or their reaction time/accuracy should be lowered.
Also, on the same spot, I caught a grenade right on the face (it even hurt me, with a hit marker and all) several times, which show how much bots are professional basketball players more than soldiers. They need to act more naturally when it comes to grenades too, imo.
ATM, bots can be a bit retarded (stuck on the truck at the begining or an ennemy next to you not reacting to your presence) or absolute unstoppable killing machines. They definitely need more tweaking !
Even though I'm not particularly interested in this feature, I still have moments when I'm out of internet connexion, so... I still can relate to this. I'd like to see local play being accessible even when not connected to the internet.
It just would make the game better for everyone without any additional cost anyway, so at the end of the day... why not simply do it ?
I agree on the fact that they are way too accurate with their throws.
I however think the frequence at which they use nades/molotovs is good as it is now. That pinpoint accuracy needs to be tweaked badly, though.
Hi devs !
Now that eastern europeans are a thing on the insurgents' side, I think it's time to offer more options to help differentiate them from middle-eastern insurgents. The most needed items would be headgear and torso, imo. I'd love to see leather jackets, or armless vests (as long as it fits in the Insurgents' clothing style, of course). Even rolled hoodies (why did the black hoodie got deleted, btw ? Too dark ?). Overall, maybe a bit more camo stuff, as long as it's in no way similar to what Security guys and girls have.
What do you people think about that ?...
Just upping the topic, since it was not fixed with latest patch.
So, I noticed this :
The pants shoved into the socks on the sandals one look hilarious though.
Even Steam properties don't work ? Damn...
@tooth-decay Just variety. Even if it doesn't change much in terms of how the weapons perform, it's still nice to have numerous different models and sounds. People usually bond with only a few weapons because of how they look, feel, and sound. Adding more options means more variety, longevity, and helps to find that one weapon you're in love with.
That being said, I agree with @VengefulMosquito in that this list is quite exotic.
I'd personally really enjoy those for the insurgent team, if I may propose something myself :
Any double barrel shotty (with a buttstock or not, idc) :
I think they lack exclusive weapons. Security have all the guns, Insurgents only have some that also happen to be found in Security arsenal. That's a bit sad and makes playing Insurgents less special compared to Security.
the bots shouldn't be allowed to throw mollys at you without ever having line of sight to you
This also works for .50 cal mounted MG. AI saw me, started shooting, I ran behind a wall and didn't stop running : the bot was shooting at my exact position through the wall as I was running. Now I may be unlucky, but it's still suspicious. I call wall hax.
