@pakislav Well, I'd love to have a guy with a big beard and a cap back to front, or with glorious hair, but I limit myself to a stubble and camo PASGT helmet. Which also look great, but... Yeah. I'd like to create another preset with a beardy dude. If only hair and beards weren't ugly as hell, I could.
My female soldier also has a cap, so... Her pony tail is not that much of an eyesore, lol.
So... As written in the title. Hair and facial hait look terrible compared to the rest of the game. It looks more like fake comedy wigs than anything. Especially facial hair which really look like glued pieces of plastic.
I'm not even hating on the game. I for a fact enjoy it very much ! But those haircuts and facial hair do need some attention, tbh.
@gsg_9_lightning I don't believe they "don't want it", but rather that they'll implement it later. Should have been a feature for launch, but hey... Launch was a tiny bit rushed and forced, so... Insurgency 2 has a votekick system that worked well, so I think Insurgency Sandstorm will have it too.
Indeed. Current smoke is quite ugly, tbh. It could use a little redesign.
Even not talking about gameworks fluid physics simulated smoke, "vanilla" volumetric smoke would be ideal, but also would be a huge performance hit. I think smoke needs to be reworked somehow anyway. I doesn't look any better than Ins2's smoke effect, but is quite more glitchy atm.
Night maps with night vision and torches are already confirmed !
I also would like to see better smoke, but let's be honest. Gameworks is just too much to ask performance-wise, and since it's an option, it would divide players. You know, make them not see the same things, which could lead to unfair advantages or handicaps.
Since the begining of the developpement, lazers always have been weird when looked through a scope. They get bigger and bigger depending on the zoom level you have. Here's an example :
The size of the dot in the screenshot above is proportionally the size of a human head, if not even bigger. It's not right. This is only with a 2x scope. It looks really weird and annoying with a 4x - 7x scope...
Can it be fixed ? I don't recall Insurgency 2 having that issue.
Hi devs !
As I was playing today, I noticed that bots manning a technical mounted MG were still see-through walls and smoke terminators. I was on A, Summit, Insurgent side, and that techie pinned me with lazer accuracy through mortar smoke. I tried to go to the other side of the crates I was hiding behind, and the guy just instantly reacted to my new placement and killed me. The bots' reaction time when using MGs (even when they're not using MGs, sometimes, but hey) is inhumanly low.
I thought a good solution for this would be to add some inertia to the mounted MGs' movements. Like a delay between the moment we move the mouse and the moment the canon aligns properly. These are heavy guns, and atm you can just do 180° turns back and forth without anything to slow you down. Bots especially should suffer from that, or their reaction time/accuracy should be lowered.
Also, on the same spot, I caught a grenade right on the face (it even hurt me, with a hit marker and all) several times, which show how much bots are professional basketball players more than soldiers. They need to act more naturally when it comes to grenades too, imo.
ATM, bots can be a bit retarded (stuck on the truck at the begining or an ennemy next to you not reacting to your presence) or absolute unstoppable killing machines. They definitely need more tweaking !
