i am Lightning and Team GSG 9 is my Clan which exists since 1998 !
- I prefer playing COOP games with my teammates versus A.I. Bots
- Realistic and tactical gameplay with good ingame voice communication is very important for me.
- I care for my teammates by covering them and giving fire support as good as i can.
- Close Quarters Combat (CQC) / Close Quarters Battle (CQB) is my favourite !
- I mostly do fast moves from cover to cover, i am a quick aimer and a very efficient and reliable pointman in a squad !
--> I am as quick as a lightning strike .. that´s why my Nickname is Lightning ;-)

Even if NWI would integrate the mapvote function, how do you think would it affect the group when changing the map ?
As we all know the group/team does not get on the exact same server/game even when all of the players click on "next map" on the top after each
finished match ( the screen where we can see the earned XP , Rank, earned tokens and available new clothes ).
As long they don´t fix that, they cannot integrate a new mapvote function as almost half of the team still would play on another server/game.
I don´t want to start a fight here , but have you guys ever thought about the possibility that another guy / bot might have shot you from another angle while you were aiming at that specific player / bot ?
I mean it´s possible, that you have been shot by one of the other guys and now you think the game has a broken visual mechanic or is not synchronized well enough.
You never can be really sure because there are so many other players and bots on a server.
And as we know one-shot-kills are always possible and when that happens you don´t have a marker where you can see where the shots are coming from and you cannot hear the exact direction, as you die instantly.
To be honest, it never happened to me that i was shot by a bot that was looking away from me.
Had it today first time too !
Directly after spawn, moving with keyboard buttons was not possible.
I also could not jump, crouch or prone.
Looking around with the mouse and changing weapons ( with keyboard buttons ) worked.
Another teammate beside me at the spawn could not move either , but after a few seconds suddenly he could move again.
We shortly talked about this new bug and he continued to go for the mission objective while i still was stuck at respawn point.
Had to leave the server.
Occured on a COOP game on official NWI server
I also saw that happen to a guy a few games ago in hardcore mode in COOP, also on standard NWI server.
I think this bug never happened before patch 1.2
Indeed the cal.50 anti material rifles should act like the real ones.
Shooting on an engine block should result in stopping the truck immediatly ( instead of blowing it up ! )
I know that this is just a game, but it really takes the immersion to cause a big explosion with it.
( just like it´s typical in blockbuster movies where the car explodes immediatly when someone shoots the gastank of the car, which is ridiculous )
Don´t get me wrong, i love the sound of that rifles and the wall penetration abilities, the effect on infantry which is getting hit by it.
But exploding cars !? Really ??
It´s too much guys, too much !
We have the RPG and AT-4, the Panzerfaust, the anti-vehicle Mine and the C4 for that job.
Also the transition time when switching from rifle to pistol needs a rework.
In the last few coop games where i tried that weapon in a few different maps, it happened several times that a Bot came around the corner and killed me because it took too long to switch to pistol.
And those bots were NOT one of those who make instakills.
Seriously, the transition time has to be reduced !
And the standard magazine size of those rifles only have 5 rounds ! WTF ?
Comon devs, are you serious ?
10 round magazines are the standard size for this weapon in real life.
There is no need to raise the cost for an extended 10 round magazine ingame as the rifle is nothing special.
I don´t know if there are magazines which contain more than 10 rounds but even if they are non existant in real life you could implement a 15 round mag as the "extended" variant.
I also agree that the MG´s have too much recoil. The only reason to have it is "gamebalance" as they have so much more ammo than any other rifle in the game.
Once deployed. That's the trick. It's hard to find someone to watch your back when deployed. And it's only useful when "settled" on an objective. In transit between two points it's just garbage, really...
I totally agree to this. This impatience is a common problem of players in almost any game where players don´t know each other.
That doesn´t happen often when you play with friends or clanmates.
Another good reason to play on custom servers only, where you hopefully get teammates that you already know and can rely on as they keeping you tangos away from your flanks and back while having deployed the MG.
There's just no reason why LMGs should kick that much. It wasn't a problem in Ins2014, I don't really get why it's a problem now. I don't see that as being a weight problem. You can move rather quickly without armour. Play demolitions with a rocket launcher is heavy too, yet people do it. They're globally avoiding Gunner because it's just not worth it. Any assault rifle, even in smaller calibers, are more efficient.
I'm only talking about coop, though. PVP might be a different story (or not). I wouldn't know that, I rarely play those game modes.
At least for COOP games the Devs should rethink about tuning down the recoil !
And anyone who wants to tell me that MG´s in real life do have a huge recoil too should look at this video where a soldier is holding a MG with just one hand firing from hip with almost no recoil at all :
This guy can even handle two MG´s at the same time ! He is getting pushed back by the firing weapons recoil, yes, but the barrels don´t rise as in Insurgency Sandstorm
So if you use both hands ( stabilizing the weapon barrel with your second hand ) it should be pretty easy to fire that MG very precisely from hip with no recoil at all.
In Sandstorm MG´s need lower recoil, definatly ! At least in COOP games !
Getting too many posts in the category "Unread" on the left side of the screen.
When i click on the red button ( Unread ) i can see so many Forum posts of games which i dont want to receive.
And when i click on the WATCHING button and after that on IGNORING button on any of the Games Forums i get a red little pop up box on the bottom right (for a few seconds only) which says : ERROR Invalid data.
So i cannot put the Forums to ignore status.
Now i receive any new Forum post from ALL Focus Games Forums.
This is really annoying and should be fixed as soon as possible.
I just want to receive new (Unread) Posts in the Insurgency:Sandstorm Forum.

Thumbs up ! I totally support your suggestions you made.
To be sure that the criticism of the Bots exaggerated abilities is not just coming from just a few COOP game enthusiasts, the developers should bring out a survey especially for COOP game mode to understand clearly what our needs ( regarding the A.I. behaviour ) are.
I didn´t install the CTE because i don´t have enough harddrive space, but reading this makes me sad and dissapointed.
NWI developers should have learned from many different posts in both Forums ( this one and Steams ) that the bots urgently need to be overworked especialy their abilities with molotovs and instakills.
I hope they rework on their exceptional abilities and their exaggerated "super speed" on stairs when assaulting a building before the new patch arrives on regular Sandstorm game.
