Well said (wrote). People forget that criticism can be both positive and negative, and only seem to voice an opinion on the latter. It's refreshing to read some positive criticism, that acknowledges the things that this game does right.

It all depends on how you equate a game with being dead. If you judge it by the number of available servers, when compared to other games, then I can understand your point of view. However, I judge it by two factors. i) Do I enjoy playing it? & ii) Can I find people to play with? As long as those two conditions are met, then the game is very much alive for me. I don't really care about anything else. I guess that I'm just selfish.
On PS4 there's been one patch since it released. I've been playing every night, since launch, and although there aren't as many servers available, as the first week, I have no problem with playing in a four person team for every match. So for me, it's certainly not dead, and it's still one of the best coop, squad based, tactical shooters that I've played in a longtime.
I think that Ping issues apply to all weapons. When I play with my colonial cousins from across the pond, I notice that their Plasma cannon shots can still be exploding, even though they've stopped firing. A server ping display would alleviate the situation, as the game doesn't have the best net code connections, out there, when judged against its peers.
Not that we know of, is there no way to fix this from your TV settings?
I was playing with someone on PS4, on comms, and they said something similar, about the HUD ammo counter being off screen and not visible. I suggested the PS4's settings, where you shrink/enlarge the border. However, that was already set correctly and he mentioned that his other games were fine. The next time that I speak to him, I'll ask if he managed to resolve it, and if yes, then how? I'll report back, if there's anything.
I'm not sure if the Dev's frequent the Deathwing Reddit forum, but a question was recently posted, so I thought that I'd pass it on.
