I'm really in favour of allowing experienced teams to play in multiple CCL seasons.
When the admins had this discussion and thought it would favour bash teams - did they consider the affects of ageing? This will hurt bash much more than agility (who rarely have a player survive that long anyway) and stop the same teams dominating for too long.
One very very easy improvement for this would be to cap the setup at 2mins regardless of the normal turn time limit.
It would speed the game up, and it is very frustrating to watch your opponent make multiple minute adjustments to formation, spending the full time allotted over nothing.
There is not really much difference between any of the elves once they get developed. Woodies and Dark Elves have a clear advantage at low and mid TV.
High Elves at high TV are great fun. These guys are 12-6-0 in UKBBL Premier League so far, and are a nightmare to play against if the injury rolls don't go your way.
No - and I don't think it's a huge problem anyway.
I have seen your own data though that suggests the team with the highest TV is more likely to win, so it makes sense that if you can play early many games, you have a chance to beat up lower TV teams for a while.
Just out of interest, what's the reasoning behind not allowing returning teams? (because I would like this - largely for other reasons!)
There was an interesting discussion on this in the old forum. To recap, the problem is that the winners of the racial league stage of COL are often those with a lot of time to spend playing all their games very early in the season. If you can do this, it's no magic path to success, but you are much more likely to avoid playing teams with a big TV advantage, and thus get a better record.
Can anyone think of a solution?
The only thing I can come up with is to make COL available to returning teams...
