It's time for another one of those regular Community Updates!
This time around, we're actually going to start off talking about something a little more immediate, and making an announcement!
We're happy to announce The Ridge, the second free DLC for Spintires: MudRunner, coming soon to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
In The Ridge DLC, we'll be introducing a brand new map, two new vehicles, and, for the first time, a brand-new gameplay mode.
On The Ridge, you will find a towering mountain ridge that divides the map into two areas, and that is incredibly difficult to cross. This will be made trickier with the introduction of the two new vehicles, the D-538 and the B-6A. We will have more details on these vehicles in the future in individual vehicle profiles, but both vehicles will also introduce new add-ons to the game as well!
These new add-ons will help players tackle the difficult new game mode being introduced to The Ridge, Scavenge.
Scavenge mode, unique to The Ridge, is a mode where there are no log stations. This means that you won't be able to just collect logs and transport them. Instead, there are now random "scavenge locations". These locations are two or three locations that are randomly selected each time you start the map, and spawn static logs which must be collected with a crane!
We don't currently have a specific planned release date for The Ridge, but it should arrive around the end of May. We will continue to add screenshots to this post as we have them to share with you. As stated above, this will be for PC, PS4 and Xbox One!
As has become the norm for these community updates, I'll also let you know what the team are currently working on, and what to expect in the future.
We continue to work on MudRunner USA, and will have more information on this in the future, but we are currently looking into our options towards licensed vehicles for this.
We are hugely grateful to the dedicated and passionate modding community for helping us make Spintires: MudRunner the best game it can be, but, for now, we're only exploring what options we have, no concrete plans to implement mods on consoles in the short run.
Lastly, the Nintendo Switch version of Spintires: MudRunner is still in development, but we don't have much more to say about this currently.
Thank you, all, and we'll talk to you soon!
Spintires: MudRunner is the ultimate off-road experience, taking players on hostile roads and harsh environments. Available on PC and consoles, Spintires: MudRunner is releasing the free Ridge DLC on the 29th of May, a free content update that includes a new map, new vehicles, and new add-ons to explore and experiment with. The Ridge is a coastal map split in half by a mountain ridge. Players will need to take a lot of care if they’re looking to cut time by travelling across the center.
In addition to a brand new map, two new vehicles are being introduced, the D-538, a heavy duty tractor, and the B-6A, a lightweight tractor. These two vehicles can be used on any map, provided you have enough progression points unlocked. Completing The Ridge requires players to utilize a new type of delivery gameplay called Scavenging. Logs are now scattered across the map, and players will have to find them at various locations in the wild to complete deliveries and earn unlock points.
Spintires: MudRunner offers incredible content and unique experiences - it's a genre of its own, reinventing the rules and offering new challenges for players looking for emergent encounters and true-to-life off-roading situations. Dedicated players and driving enthusiasts will appreciate the hyper-realistic driving sensations thanks to an advanced physics engine, a differential transmission system, soft-tire simulation, as well as realistic interactions between vegetation, mud, water, and your vehicle.
Spintires: MudRunner’s next free content DLC, The Ridge, is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam on May 29th.
The Ridge is a brand new free DLC coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 29th, 2018. This second DLC will introduce brand new content to the game, including two new vehicles, a new map, and a brand new game mode - Scavenge. The new map, The Ridge, will feature a ridge that splits the map in two, and will require players to scout a route, and then make their way over the mountain.
In the lead-up to The Ridge's release, we're bringing back the Vehicle Presentation to talk to you about the awesome new vehicles coming to the game in the free DLC! This will also be a great place to ask questions about the vehicle specifically, how it handles, and the niche it fills.
Designed for the rugged terrain of The Ridge, The D-538 is a vehicle powerfully designed to recover loads while scavenging. A large vehicle, equipped with powerful offroading abilities, the D-538 is a great complement to a nimble scouting vehicle and shines when properly supported.
Featuring a fuel capacity of 400 litres, and able to take up to 800 points of damage, the D-538 is a powerful vehicle, able to carry large loads across mountainous terrain, and easily recover logs in Scavenge Mode.
A vehicle featuring All-Wheel Drive, and with an always enabled Differential Lock, the D-538 is at home in the rugged hills of The Ridge.
The D-538 struggles on roads, as it is built purely as an off-road vehicle.
Fuel Canisters - Able to carry 120 literes of Fuel
Fuel Trailer - Able to carry 900 litres of Fuel
Garage Trailer - Able to carry 2 Garage Points
Loader - Able to load Logs onto a trailer
Medium Log Trailer - Able to carry Medium Logs (with The Valley DLC installed)
Short Log Trailer - Able to carry Short Logs
Spare Wheel - Able to carry 120 Repair Points
Utility Trailer - Able to carry 300 litres of Fuel, and 400 Repair Points
Today, we're very happy to unveil an update that adds Workshop Map Support to Spintires: MudRunner on PC. What this means for you is that we now officially support map mods in Spintires: MudRunner, and players will be able to upload and download their creations through the Steam Workshop, in the same way that they can for trucks.
You will find an update to both Spintires: MudRunner and the Spintires: MudRunner Editor.
Should you need help learning how modding tools work in Spintires: MudRunner, here is our official guide. This will teach you to make both map mods and vehicle mods.
Another great community made guide, made by Torridon88, can be found here.

Thank you, and we'll talk to you soon,
The Spintires: MudRunner team.
Originally scheduled for release July 18, Fear The Wolves' Early Access on Steam has now been pushed back by a few weeks. We have made this decision after closely listening to the expectations and feedback of players in the Closed Beta, which has proven a vital part of the game’s ongoing development. The Closed Beta will extend until the new Early Access launch date, allowing players to continue their exploration of the hostile and radioactive lands of a devastated Chernobyl.
The Closed Beta will stay open tonight, and will see a large update tomorrow for player feedback.
We’ve already seen tens of thousands of players battling in Fear the Wolves over the last week of the Closed beta. We are delighted that players are satisfied with the core combination of classic Battle Royale gameplay with original mechanics – particularly the players vs. environment, radiation hazards, dynamic weather, and unique end-of-game extraction system.
The positive community feedback encouraged us to delay the release of the Early Access to ensure the well-received core experience isn’t marred by technical issues. On top of fixing these issues, this delay will also allow us to further improve other aspects of the game, thanks to the masses of data and player feedback gathered through testing.
We anticipate that the extra development time will raise Fear The Wolves’ quality to a level at which players will be able to fully experience it’s unique atmosphere.
Fear the Wolves will release on PC in Early Access later this summer.
The release of the full game is scheduled for 2019 on consoles and PC.

Focus Home Interactive and former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. developers announce Fear the Wolves, a post-apocalyptic Battle Royale game for 2018!
In development for several months, Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games – the developers who created the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise – chose the annual press event “Le What’s Next de Focus” taking place in Paris on February 7-8, to unveil Fear The Wolves, the post-apocalyptic First Person Shooter Battle Royale. Releasing in 2018, the game will offer a new and original take on the growing Battle Royale genre.
Fear the Wolves drops players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive environments of a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl. The classic Battle Royale mode forces them to fight to be the last man standing out of 100 fighters. Another intense and original game mode will also bring a fierce new twist to the genre.
To secure the top spot, players will need to worry about more than just other survivors. Across the hostile wastes, everyone is threatened by deadly anomalies and the dynamically-changing weather. Along with a day-night cycle, this constantly forces survivors to adapt their strategies, and players can find protective gear that allows them to explore dangerous off-limit zones. All the while, the howls of mutated creatures echo through the wasteland…
More details on Fear the Wolves will be unveiled to attendees at the What’s Next de Focus press event in Paris, February this year. Developers at Vostok Games will be available for interviews and presentations to share more information about their upcoming hardcore Battle Royale shooter.
Fear the Wolves comes to PC and Consoles in 2018. Early Access begins this year on PC.
It's now been six months since Spintires: MudRunner launched, and this month, we're announcing a brand new feature for Spintires: MudRunner in celebration of all our dedicated players and fans!
We're very happy today to announce a new mode for Spintires: MudRunner. This mode, More Hardcore Mode, will make playing the game much harder, and drastically ramp up the difficulty.
How does this work? You'll now find areas of the map have now been transformed into treacherous quicksand! These spots are randomised, and careful planning will be needed to make sure you don't get caught and dragged down. You will need to master your winch, and your ability to crawl, to test ground and make sure it won't trap your wheels.
Quicksand is deadly even in multiplayer, with the force of the sand being able to drag multiple winched trucks deep into the ground. To survive, be sure to stop moving, and winch your friends and yourself to safety with as little motion as possible. If your vehicle is dragged deep enough down, it will be disabled for the rest of the map.
You can drag a vehicle out, if you try hard enough, but it will require your full team of MudRunners to work together as a unit, and the vehicle will be disabled until you can get repair points to it as well.
Best of luck out there, it's a dangerous time to be mudding!
Yes, it's that time again - time for the monthly community update, where we let you know what's going on in Spintires: MudRunner behind the scenes.
Firstly, let's start with a thank you! Spintires: MudRunner has sold over one million copies, and we're incredibly thankful to the community for helping us get to that breathtaking number. We wouldn't have gotten there without you!
Now, on to the meat and bones of this update.
In last months update, we told you about some of our favourite mods that we'd played in the office. This month, we'd like to tell you about the MudRunner USA expansion that we've been teasing for a little while.
So, to start - the name. MudRunner USA will actually be called American Wilds, and will be an expansion pack for Spintires: MudRunner, and will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, at a to-be-announced date this fall.
American Wilds will come with many features that you have been asking for, including two new sandbox maps and licensed vehicles. We're not ready to announce what those vehicles are at this time, however, but we very much look forwards to introducing them to you!
Pricing wise, American Wilds will be available in two forms - you'll be able to buy it individually as an expansion pack, or as a full package with the original Spintires: MudRunner, in the Spintires: MudRunner - American Wilds edition. There will be more information about the pricing of this closer to release.
We don't have screenshots to show you of American Wilds at the moment, due to the fact that vehicles are still being worked on. Once we do have them, we'll show them to you here. We thank you for your patience with us on this.
Many thanks, and we look forwards to showing you more about American Wilds as time goes on!
The development of Fear The Wolves is reaching the next stage of it's development, and we've now reached a point where we would love more player feedback! We're looking for feedback on features, performance, and stability, as well as input on how you're finding the general gameplay experience.
