No one liked the tau from first game. But there is really a problem with this game as you pretty much have to pick a fleet that can compete with eldars or if you dont you pretty much lose against them unles the eldar player is bad. Then taking anti-eldar fleet put you at quite bad disadvantage against other fleets.

Bring back the system where you choose your fleet after you know what your enemy is. This way we could actually counter enemy fleets.

Im not sure if we are playing same game or not. You can just park any kind of grand cruiser or bigger ship on 3 caps and thats it. You dont have to do anything else against chaos lance fleet. The entire chaos fleet wont have enough damage output to take them down and if that miracle happens and the chaos fleet kills one of your ships replace it with other ship.

The 1v1 skirmish thing is not a cheat in my mind its more like abusing the system. My point is that new players most lickely dont know about that abuse so they grind through levels and that is good thing. The grind is practice to use your fleet well. But once you have done the grind you should have quite good grasp of the game mechanics. So its not needed to grind another faction so the work around is good to have.

Lances are palyable.

Zzap are very usefull.
Never saw a Tau complaining about his lances
Saw epic/legend chaos players with lance fleet including myself
IN one are bad but IN ship have bad dps efficiency even with macro
Pulsar get a nice buff I’ve been rekt by a CWE pulsar fleet in Epic
Ad Mech lances are brutal

I would say you didn’t get OP. He’s asking for upgrades because lance just need a little boost to be a little more competitive. And upgrades would perfectly do the trick.

I was speaking only about chaos lances.

Saw epic/legend player with lance fleets yeah well proof thanx and i wanna see that they got to epic/legendary rank by using lance fleets. Any one can get to as high rank as they can by using slaughter fest and then play few games with lance fleets.

@canardnoir You still dont get it well let me try to make another example. Lets imagine that IN macro dmg was reduced by 30% making them practically unplayable and then it was tried to fix by making an upgrade that boosted macro dmg by 30%. Would you think that yes this is how it should be. One faction absolutely NEED to take 1 upgrade to make over half of their ship options even playable not competetive not good but playable. This is not specialization as you say its trying to make broken thing to work.

Not at all. You can make very good macro and carrier fleets. They don’t care about a lance upgrade.

Lets put it this way that upgrade would be must for lance fleets to make them even playable. Thats why lance dmg for chaos need to be buffed period. After that we can think about upgrades making them better.

Hi all,

I got an idea for a chaos lances and want to know what you guys think about this idea.

So how about if chaos lances were called something like "optimized lances" or something and they have special trait that makes lances do 50% more dmg to targets that are beyond 9k range.

This way chaos could be The long range faction from first game while effectivily punishing them if they cant keep enemy at long range.

I have not crunched any numbers so feel free to think that the 50% increase is just something i throwed up and it does not have any mathematical base so its more like an example.
