This reminds me of the ins 2014 issue with the SAW having manageable recoil when not deployed with a bipod .... this was before it was hit with a sizeable recoil increase. People used it as an assault rifle at times because of how "reasonable" it was. There's a few ways of discouraging this sort of thing. NWI went with the high recoil if not deployed route in ins 2014, and also added another good restriction in DOI (you were unable to ADS unless deployed with a bipod).
Provided it's tested proper this looks like another viable solution to avoid the assault LMG problem from ins 2014. The pics helped a ton in visualizing this.
@Tooth-Decay a lot of ins2014 guns are going to be making their return (local play, give yourself a primary). the RPK is one of them IIRC. I will agree on the pig/PKM and SAW/RPK thing. More meaningful choices for lmg's would be nice.
And something I assume NWI is adding: choices for smg's ... or at least I hope they're adding. I'd like to see a high ROF and low ROF option for insurgents and security. the UMP needs to make a comeback security side for a low ROF option, and I think a scorpion would do well for a high ROF option for insurgents. And no, the AKS-74U does not count. It's the insurgent version of the Mk. 18
The points system needs to follow what they did in 2014. Since I don't want to go into details about it:
Not saying that 2014's scoring was the be all and end all. Takeaway here is that trying to capture objectives is heavily rewarded at least in the points sense. As far as giving points for people "defending the perimeter"? PTFO or GTFO.
MP5A5's awesome. RPK's nice too. Don't much care for the rest. Especially ridiculously old weapons like garand and STG(or sten...). Especially not a fan of stock-less MP5K. Should be replaced by scorpion, which is an obvious choice for insurgent SMG. That and/or Bizon.
Would like to see an insurgent SMG with a high ROF so I'd prefer scorpion.
As an aside I'd like to see the sterling in game, it was definitely a fun primary to use in 2014. Not a top tier choice but allowed for some speedy sneaky flanking that you couldn't necessarily do with heavier primaries.

If I remember the patch notes right the smoke underbarrel option is available for more classes than just demo guys. Can't remember which classes besides rifleman get them now, so it's a fair trade
Cannot relate at all. This is the best patch they've released so far in my opinion.
While I still notice the changes NWI made, It feels like insurgency now. This patch has improved the game significantly.
Movement is bad, slow (heavy carrier is useless now), ADS too slow (gives campers big advantage, you can't rush buildings at all now), i dunno guys, you just want to make milsim out of something that has potental to be fun. Thats why the OG insurgency didn't get playerbase it deserved, cause of some OG insurgency crybabies who want this game to be a camp-fest. And no, i don't play COD i'm from Europe.

Since the insurgents have soviet themed weapons I'd like to see the groza in game to reflect the L85A2 on security side. Would also like to see the AS VAL as well. Since I need to eat dinner soon I'm going to agree with LucJocWhite's list because I saw the 100 series AK's.
