I've attached the AW addons to the GMC, so it should work for everyone!? The original addons as well, not via the method I posted above.

To continue on from my previous post, it seems the new vehicles are unique in that they accept USA, Russian and other addons. Russian trucks still can't take USA addons and USA trucks still only accept USA addons.

I've made an unloaded version of the new loaded log cart, it attaches to the new Chevy and the UAZ etc but because it's technically an 'other' addon, it doesn't attach to the AW 4x4s. Very frustrating lol. And in a further twist, the Chevy's garage parts trunk does attach to the F150!

I haven't looked at the new stuff yet but iirc you can't add AW attachments to other vehicles and you can't add russian/other attachments to the AW vehicles. Since AW something outside of the xml is dictating what you can do with some addons and vehicles.

A workaround is to copy the addon xml and rename it, I did this with all the AW addons so I could experiment with them on other vehicles. Add the new names to the strings and the only difference is there are two of every addon on the AW trucks (or change the installsockets etc as well).

You could even delete the originals but this would mean trucks spawn on maps without the intended addon attached so it's not really worth it imo. I think it all works with the trucks as well but again renaming the file means it won't spawn on maps and making a copy will just be a separate truck rather than a replacement.

No patch notes again?!

The map is decent, as is the Chevy, but no garage is ridiculous and no manual loading sucks. I get the need to appeal to the crowd but I don't see why we can't have options.

Yeah I've seen this alot whilst converting random old st mods and it's always the centre of mass set way too low. It creates a kind-of pendulum effect which effectively reverses the weight shift

They wouldn't invite members of the public to come and play a beta at a 'manager's conference' would they?!

I'd be disappointed if we don't get to see any gameplay footage from the event. The development rate suggests that we're gonna be getting spintires v3.0 rather than a 'new' game, I have mixed feelings about this tbh but it would be nice to have some sort of confirmation of the direction they're taking.

What if I've never noticed it before but now I do, is that confirmation or placebo? 😃

It could be that a certain percentage of the truck's weight is somehow framed to the camera. I use the cockpit camera zoom mod and it does feel more wobbly when it's up high, but the movements are magnified when there's a big distance between the viewpoint and the object. A good way to test might be having a fiddle with the RadiusMultiplier, a camera further away might have more leverage?

And does it still happen with the new stmod free cam? The camera isn't 'attached' to the truck but it's still the active truck.

@Mexican_420 About the damage, I've done it a couple of times and the (x,y,z) was moved one step so (x=z, y=x, z=y) if you get my drift. I guess it's a glitch

Finally got a chance to run Badlands 2 last night, and I have to say it's probably the best map I've played! Great mix of trailing, crawling and logging, I think I'll need to complete it 4 or 5 times with different vehicle types before I get bored.

I forget the exact name but the 'Radius of active objects' (or something similar) option in the stmod advanced options causes what I think you're describing, it just needs to be unchecked.

It's very hard to get reliable information about Soviet manufacturers in English, which sucks! I find it interesting how things were done behind the other side of the iron curtain, and how they adapted to the fall of communism and the adoption of capitalism (especially non-russian factories like KrAZ and MAZ). I don't know if you're still about @Stazco I wish I had seen this thread earlier!

I've been using this excellent texture pack since it first popped up on mrmods and would recommend it to anyone. The only bits I don't bother with are the plants and grass; they look awesome but they make the game's terrible draw distance much harder to ignore! Thanks @Naor-Levi

@SmarOneNine Androscoggin is great, as are all your trails!

Re logging, I'd love it if every map maker put at least one lumber mill on their maps, along with a watchpoint and a locked garage, so that I could 'complete' the map and have it coloured in the selection screen. Even if it was made easy with everything right in front of the start location for those who can't be bothered would be fine, but personally I like to have have targets to aim for.

I don't really care if the game is dead or if there is another dlc (dlc_trials?), it won't change my opinion of the game (7.5/10 btw!). I would just like a bit of clarity if possible.

I've been looking for a flatbed for a while, but never found one, in the style of the garage semi with a ramp minus the container. Darius and Muzden made one for log loads but it doesn't have a ramp (iirc it came with their brown Kraz-256). The problem is it would be pretty useless, it's not wide enough so you could only fit A class vehicles on it, and the ramp would be quite steep.

There is the line 'dlc_trials' along with the other dlcs in strings/game. Could be an accidental leak of future dlc but most likely it's just another example of poor attention to detail/lack of care
