Surely operation console-relase was operation grab moaaar cash, I dont't blame them for that but they should also think that it means more work. I don't exactly know what differences are there between the platforms when it comes to adding new features but at least it means 2 more testing sessions for 2 platforms.
Thus being said I am waiting for a first DLC/Update to see what they have to offer. It would be nice to see it around xmas this year. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see it coming spring 2018.
There is no official thread about the future of the game and a possible timeline of those events. While I do understand that to some extent, I also have the feeling that the game is all about tonnes of wasted potential for now.
The only 2 explanations I can find is... some licencing issues and/or the idea to give that to unaware players in a DLC as a bonus. OK.. I have the third one, the most probable, Pavel woke up in a bad mood and decided to remove it. Other than that I can't find a reason. He actually explained the thing about the wheels, didn't convince me at all.. the other content explained he not.
As long as there will be demand for this type of tool. And since russisns are creating all types of crazy things for the game all the time he will continue . Thatere is another way more important question though... why game developers didn't decide to make a Custom Game Mode built in MR knowing how highly anticipated such thing is.
SpinTiresMod.exe version 1.6.0 alpha
Finally it WORKS, I tried earlier thru 1.5.1 - 1.5.6 and it mostly didn't
The source I've always downloaded that was:
taken form the VK ST hardcore group
Truth being spoken, the only thing I haven't done yet is finished last map, deluge, with one star. And all than not really spending more than 50 hrs... The game lacks challenges... that would keep most of the players to it. I know that you can invent them on your own, but that's not the same.
Here is a map how to get there. This is an example, not the only possibility, though. Forget about the trailer winch the other truck. I made it with two trucks and 1/3 tank left on hardcore.
green circle - tarmac from starting point
red circle - asphalt to the garage
blue and green lines - some alternative paths
The road you can go with logs.
Try more or less taking the green road, look into the water, sometimes one meter left or right might be quit deep.
I now that at this point we are probably quite used to old HUD. But there are also some voices criticizing the new dashboard. The idea behind it (justified by the general direction of the game in the past) that the menu(s) should look like an old tube (CRT) screen was maybe fitting in the concept of the old soviet game at the beginning. But now with even better GFX of MUDRUNNER it simply doesn't look good. The quality of the hud/dashboard doesn't need to be so low res. In general you don't have to have it low res to look old - look at the trucks and in game elements like buildings, fuel stations, etc. they look properly old but they are of high quality. Therefore I would like to present my idea for both HUD and dashboard.
This is the idea I got thinking about it. What if the HUD actually reminds a dashboard, universal one for all vehicles but looking like an old Russian style truck dashboard. The HUD and actual dashboard could share the same concept but display different controls depending on the view. In my example I tried to show different ideas of dashboard signals but
apart form the presented one we could get just a plain light(tiny colored indicator) with description(letters) above/below. In my opinion this could add some more flavor to the game and make it even more realistic.
HUD View (less info)
Cabin Viev (more datailed)
Of course my examples are just to serve as a general idea rather than exact manner of implementing it (if ever) in the future.
What do you think?
