@WhiteNerine I hear you, I am a die-hard fan of the vampire mythos, especially those depicted in World of Darkness games (Vampire: the Masquerade/Requiem), in Warhammer Fantasy (Vampire Counts), the original where it all began (Bram Stoker's Dracula) and some movies, like Interview with the Vampire for example. Saddened that pop culture fucked them up lately (Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Blade 3, etc..). When it comes to games, I agree with you, but at least for a decade we had Bloodlines that was quite the masterpiece, and I am confident Vampyr will step up and bring the genre to another level of quality we are looking for.
@WhiteNerine Yeah, I guess to a point you are right. To be honest, there's also the fact that deep customisation is a lot of dev work, which I think should rather be spent on story and plot, because of the nature of the gamestyle. I can easily use my imagination if Jonathan's looks aren't to my liking ( I may be biased since he kind of have similar features that I possess, like dark hair and the type of beard and hairstyle ). I guess if there's no base customisation at launch, that PC players will have mods available to them.
@LordKain2312 https://www.facebook.com/notes/vampyr/vampyr-e3-trailer-2017-breakdown/783716018470264/ there is a lot of valuable info about them in here, in case you are curious. Can't wait to know more about it!
Everything we saw so far seems to indicate we can muster a lot of important and specific information about the residents of London, likely for quests, story and feeding reasons. Now that we know there's others vampires in London as well, I was wondering if they can be subject to the same kind of scrunity. For my part, even if we'll likely won't see their health xp (since we can't feed on them), I would like to know what ticks them off just as well as any other mortal citizen. What do you guys think?
@ek79 potato potahto....... open world, semi-open world.... I don't know, feels like the mechanics of District health as well at the seemingly tight and personal storytelling of Vampyr isn't great with large open world setting you seem to want. Just like you said though, better wait and see for ourselves
