I would have been embarrassed to brag about that simply because the fact is if they truly sold 500,000 copies of Insurgency SS (which I will admit two copies were me alone...) then that really describes how sad a state this game is when that many bought and such a tiny percentage of that play on any given day... Just sayin!
@marksmanmax Lmao not sure how I tagged myself but either way ya I’m not sure and it doesn’t really matter I just wish that Insurgency Sandstorm was as “Realistic” and “Highly Lethal” as originally advertised when I sold on a dream that it would “Stay true to its Insurgency roots”... That’s all.
@marksmanmax Well what is your stance on the effect of being shot because can’t say I know from experience but I’m pretty sure being shot first counts and that people shouldn’t be able to shrug off being shot as if it never happened. Or as though they were just stung by a wasp. I also don’t think it needs to be RNG if it’s always basically the same reaction. You get shot you have a small time penalty before being able to accurately fire your weapon. Not a big pause but something more than taking bullets while very precisely grouping bullets yourself... So I shoot you first the only time you should be able to return fire quickly and accurately enough to hit and or kill me would be if say I missed with my next bullet(s) or my mag ran out of cartridges etc. Other wise the force or impact from that first bullet hitting you (even if it does not penetrate your armour) should be enough that if I am able to land my next shot within that given time frame (penalty for being shot) I am speaking of you are going to die. If that makes any sense once again doesn’t have to be RNG everyone has the same penalty regardless of where shot from or where the bullet landed. As it stands right now the game isn’t super realistic anyways and I can run across a street and take several bullets without breaking stride then cover and return fire quite accurately with no penalty despite the fact I was stung by several wasps... Lol

Honestly I know very little on the subject and don’t care to comment but I will say regardless of any of that there is a serious lack of bullet flinch/punch/plain and simple punishment for taking a bullet what ever you want to call it how ever you want to say it. There just plain and simple needs to be more repercussion for taking a bullet anywhere on the body... I wish they would make a hardcore mode... Lol seriously I’m not trying to split the community or player base anymore and I know it would but... Sorry not sorry I would love a mode that had AP rounds for every gun and they were free lol. Something to that effect MO.

@tzaeru @Thorus I get that and I still think it’s super lame and unrealistic which is why I would never get serious about comp... And the old players won’t come to SS because it’s a far cry from what Insurgency 2014 was and currently is in terms of many things, gameplay, realism, lethality, etc... I have many hours in the old Insurgencies and I never played comp before either. The only reason I don’t still actively play Insurgency 2014 is because the graphics and physics are a little dated which is why I was “WAS” so excited about SS because I thought I was getting Insurgency on a new engine. This did not come to fruition. This is not really Insurgency you can call it what ever you want.. it may have Insurgency DNA but did not “stay true to Insurgency roots” as originally advertised. Either way all I am saying is that those aren’t the real reasons INs vets are still playing the older Insurgency. Hell I have talked to quite a few people who play Insurgency and told me that the main reason they would not be getting or playing Insurgency Sandstorm was plain and simple because there was no Ambush mode and these people play Ambush religiously as did I once... Even if or when they add Ambush into this game I wonder if they will have enough interest in jumping to this game as once again they have made some IMO questionable decisions ie. damage reflection, no AP rounds, etc... Things that made Insurgency.. Insurgency..!
@bahzooga As Cyoce stated above you just can’t do this. Forcing someone into a role such as observer does not mean they will automatically use the role as intended and could potentially disable someone from using the role who would actually utilize the role well.
I only play versus when I’m actually playing as currently I am not... But competitive for me is completely ruined simply by the fact that the dead can communicate with the living. That simple fact alone will keep me from playing the game mode right there. I would just play R6... Can’t handle when my team that couldn’t be bothered with staying alive is screaming pure rubbish in my ear as I’m trying to concentrate on sounds and what’s going on.
