@aram_thehead You essentially have to suffer through ranking up to rank "9" to get all the useful passives.
Someone said that starpulse is good- it's not anymore- save that for either knocking out shields or killing fighters and such.
The real winning strategy, in 1v1, is to have a light cruiser as your flagship so you can cloak it and use it to mass recall your carin ships around the map- that way you can compensate for their lack of mobility- thus allowing you to kite a bit if you need to, say with Tyrannids, or jump on top of your enemy if it's tau, chaos, or admech.
This usally only works in my experience, because it's not something the enemy is expecting- they expect that the carins are across the map so they split up their fleet- or do something to make mistakes. Carins can do some damage mind you, but it's mostly the surprise imo that lets you win.
@nemesor-xanxas Imo the thread on reddit the compiled the number of races in the top two tiers in the game seems like a better metric to me of how balanced the game is ; https://www.reddit.com/r/BFGArmada/comments/ah37jb/possibly_interesting_breakdown_on_wins_per_faction/
Imperial Navy 8 43
Space Marine 12 37
Ad Mech 2 17
Chaos 8 25
Corsair 0 1
Eldar (Asuryani) 4 14
Dark Eldar (Drukhani) 19 37
Necron 2 37
Ork 8 42
Tau Protector 4 15
Tau Merchant 1 6
Tyranid 27 122
(first number is legendary league, second number is epic league)
The dude who made the list comments
"Nercons seem a real mixed bag to play against.
Don't see many average players they all seem to be ruthless killing machines or trying to figure out how to work their controls."
You can't shoot out their engine, they regenerate from citicals in 20 seconds, they have no moral, it's practically impossible to out board them, and they start cloaked.
They're only two weakness could be said to be ranged weapons and sniping their capital ship, but their pretty much immune to criticals taking out their ship systems since they're play style is centered around mobility, and they're is nothing you can do to stop or slow down a nid. They're fast enough to avoid most abilities and they can case down all but the fastest ships.
