I'm @ing you again since after tests I just realized that the L106A1 is actually better than the Uzi Submachine gun. It has better velocity. Out of a shorter barrel. From the same cartridge. A 9mm pistol can two-shot Heavy Armor while a 9mm SMG can't.

EDIT: That probably also means that if you could put a Long Barrel on an Uzi the gun would two-shot Heavy Armor lol.

@thehappybub Co-op just frustrates me way too much now. If I have a really good round, I don't feel like it was because I was doing really well, but simply because I lucked out with the AI.

Number of times I've seen half the team quit out of a co-op match would seem to suggest I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I kept putting off going into PvP since I'm super busy right now and very little time for games, but I'm thinking I might just bite the bullet and grit my teeth through the early game frustrations. At least there I know I died because I was outplayed and not because the bots have 24/7 intel on my whereabouts.

@best_pseudonym Team killing has been a huge problem in every NWI game to date.

They've never made any serious effort to solve the problem. Don't expect them to suddenly change now.

Which is why it starts hitching like crazy the moment someone starts shooting at you, or why the aliasing is so bad that targets past 50 meters become impossible to make out.
(Yes, I've tried all the prescribed fixes. None of them worked.)

@thehappybub I'm just getting fed up with this game in general at this point.

Dying to enemies who have 24/7 intel on you no matter what. Dying to enemies because your game hitched as soon as he started shooting at you. Dying to enemies you can't see because the visuals are absolute shit and make it impossible to see anything past 50 meters. Dying to enemies who head shot you the moment they make eye contact. Dying to enemies head glitching so you can only see the very top of their head while they can see you just fine. Dying to the gun truck because you dared to look at it funny.

Then dying to your teammates because he got angry that you accidentally hit him once or twice or because you're on top of the scoreboard and there's definitely no way you aren't hacking </s>. Then having some no life troll chase you around the map harassing you constantly while there's fuck all you can do about it. Then having 75% of your team rage quit 5 minutes into a match.

It's hard to even have fun anymore between the awful technical problems (3 weeks since the last patch, good lord...) and even worse community.

Aliasing is so bad I can't make out targets past 50 meters. They just become a mess of jaggies. The only available AA setting is FXAA which may as well be like covering my monitor in plastic wrap for all the good it does.

Why not? Seems like an odd detail to be missing. I remember in beta 1 the compensator would appear on the weapon model. Why'd they change that?

Feels rather odd that I can attach a long barrel to my weapon and have the barrel length not actually change, or attach the compensator and have to just assume there's something on the end of my muzzle compensating for horizontal recoil.

@jarple Now that I think about it, there are a lot of little discrepancies with weapon weight.

An M4A1 weighs more than an M16A4, even though it's smaller. The MP7 weighs as much as a Mk18 carbine despite being much smaller.

So while it's one of my favorite guns in the game right now, it's got some problems that make it feel less viable than other breacher weapons.

Main problem is the magazine capacity - a lousy 20 rounds. With how fast this gun shoots, you'll burn through that in no time at all. The extended magazine is pretty much a must have, and, combined with the cost of the weapon itself, you're losing 7 supply just to your primary alone. Add in barrel attachments like a compensator or suppressor, and now you're up to 10 supply invested just in your primary weapon, not to mention a weapon that isn't as versatile as the Mk18 or have the sheer stopping power of the shotgun.

Can the extended magazine just be integrated into the weapon by default, or have its cost reduced?

While it's not that big of a deal, the MP7's flip up sights are also pretty ugly. The rear sight ring is too wide and gives you a very narrow sight picture. Would it be possible to make the rear sight ring thinner so the flip up sights are actually a viable alternative to electronic sights?
