@rampart I think everyone who's alive should get points for blowing a cache.
I like that
I like the idea of a team board that has bonus experience for all team members... perhaps measuring how many team members were on the objective when it was taken or how many team members were defending an objective when it was blown up...
I'm also ok with getting rid of the personal achievements at the end of the round.
But I also want to see my personal stats so I know if I'm getting better or worse.
Basically agree, but not sure if it's the bots causing the rushing tactic. I think it's the other way around.
People who rush forward are causing the bot trouble for the more team focused player.
You're rewarded for getting cap points and blowing up ammo, you're not rewarded for helping out team mates with things like being tail end charlie covering the rear (A very important real-life requirement) giving supporting fire from MG/sniper to protect advances. etc
Lets face it, CO-OP is NOT CO-OP if you're being rewarded to always be the guy that caps.
Until some form of reward for team work is introduced, cap rushing will just increase, unless you get a team together and always play with that team. Something not all of us can do.
I agree with this. My group of friends... up to 6 of us that play together... will start on a server with one or two others. Those two rage quit after the "rush" they do and then it is just us. We take our time, work methodically, and seem to get to the final objective more often then not.
That said, the AI definitely needs some more work. There are valid concerns with the aim and shoot stand offs, the "dead" bots suddenly killing someone, the head shot when your head is completely in cover, the .50 cal that seems to immediately see you even if you creep around a corner... well the stuff people are complaining about above.
Please allow us to see who is keying their mikes and speaking so we will know who that jerk is that needs to be muted. At this point I'm tempted to turn off the voice receive volume. (In fact I have a couple of friends I play with regularly who told me they have already done this)
I don't know if this is being worked on but wanted to get this out.
I regularly group in a party with at least one and up to five other guys and we've noticed that if one of us drops from the match for any reason, we cannot rejoin the match even if the position that was dropped was not filled by another player. I'm hoping the devs are aware and working on this too... and if they aren't aware please note.
Three things I've noticed on sounds.
- I went from 16 Gigs of ram to 32 and that seemed to fix most sound issues (I also load into the game much faster)
- I still have issues hearing my weapon at times (this is now a rare issue after I added more ram)
- At times when the .50 on the back of the pickup is firing, it will be in front of me but the sound is coming from behind me or vise versa (my friends in teamspeak tell me they are hearing the same)
