Seriously, This shouldn't be a 'REQUESTED' feature such as a wave based survival mode, versus mode, first person view, cosmetics, roll-dodge, perk tweaks or additional weapons.
Just like ultra-wide support, FOV, private lobbies,anti-cheat and a fully functioning friend invite system shouldn't be a 'REQUESTED' feature! The first 2 weeks this game released I helped everyone I could to fix the issues they had with this game on this forum. Because if they complained on twitter you would send them here, then ignore them and wait for the community to help them out. I thought at the time that it's because you were hard at work on fixes and the whole teams nose was to the grindstone. But as it turns out you were just relying on the community to do your job for you. (check my profile for proof)
Then we get updates that are 2-3 weeks apart that still don't fix most people's problems and meanwhile cheaters are running rampant on PC while the developers pat themselves on the back for how many copies they have sold, weekly on twitter! I am personally responsible for 5 of those copies!
Why is it that console players can play P2P/ private matches while the servers are down and PC players are just SOL?! Is it because the EPIC store backend is horribly useless and a P2P system on PC would open your game up to rampant piracy? A little transparency and an answer that didn't begin or end with 'sorry' or 'soon' would go a long way with me, as I am sure it would many other players. I have supported your game and its players since launch and my goodwill for you as developers has officially ran out.
With 2 million copies sold you would think that your publisher would let you hire some extra help to implement some fixes/features that we never knew we had to 'REQUEST', in a more timely fashion. You have made an excellent game and the lack of transparency/promptness in fixing these issues is a HUGE detriment to your game.
When you 'FIXED' the weapon XP progression problem you should have made it obvious IN-GAME why players had stopped gaining weapon XP instead of having them complain on Twitter/Forums constantly, (justly) thinking that their game was bugged.
Your game is awesome and I can't wait until the day that the private lobby "FEATURE" is implemented and I can play without randoms that don't share my playstyle.
Maybe you can hire some outside help like one of the 10'ish 'EARTHFALL' team members who made private lobbies standard at launch and not a 'REQUESTED' feature.
Maybe you could tell us the truth and admit that alot of the problems your game has is because of a sub-par license verification service that your CHOSEN store has.
Maybe you could give us a realistic ETA on such basic features other than 'SOON', if you miss them at least we know you are setting deadlines for yourselves and are holding yourselves responsible when/if you miss said deadlines.
Maybe instead of paying people to re-boot Shaq-Fu, you can FOCUS (:D) on a title people don't ACTIVELY HATE, and FOCUS (:D) on one of your few successful titles
A huge FAN of the game you made..... for now.....
Check out this post if you would like further confirmation.
Consoles can use a feature called peer 2 peer, so that you can join an xbox party together and play in 'OFFLINE' mode with each other even across the country, it will be private because the consoles can connect directly to each other and by playing in "OFFLINE" mode no other random players can join in. This feature was excluded from PC because then people could easily pirate the game and still play together using a P2P connection. Re-read my post and you will find it makes sense. I am 35 BTW, though I am not sure what that has to do with your lack of reading comprehension skills.
Console already has private lobbies, they can party up and play in offline mode BUT If you are in a party on PC and try to click offline mode it says that it is DISABLED. They disable it so people cant pirate the game and play together, hence why consoles have P2P and PC doesnt. They are waiting until after the big sale to enable P2P on pc for private parties. THIS is why they wont give us an ETA except to say 'soon', they are waiting for sales to flatline, then make an offline mode ENABLED. This is probably even related to the friends list issue. They are screwing over the paying customers so that the people who wouldn't buy their game regardless have to wait longer to play.
You have to buy the upgrade on the previous level of a wepon to gain xp, such as you have to buy level 2 upgrade before you can start leveling towards 3, then buy level 3 before you can start earning xp towards level 4 ect., I think they were trying to keep people from farming weapon xp at the end of a level.
Maybe a dev can answer as to why console players can play in an offline party (thus giving them a private lobby) whereas PC crowd who have PAID for the game have to wait for private lobby functionality. When you party up on PC and click offline mode it says that it has been DISABLED. So I guess my question is, Why not ENABLE it for us?
I am betting that this problem is at least related to the lack of P2P and private lobbies on pc. If you are in a party and try to click offline mode it says that it is DISABLED.
