@Nobana Low player count so you can't really balance the teams that well, I would rather play against better players than getting a message that say "No match found".
You improve by playing against better players, if you don't understand that then I don't even know why you play multiplayer games.
@MeFirst @Mr-Rain I got 1k on Arma, DayZ and PUBG, and I've played the previous Insurgency. I'm fine with the gunplay on this game, I just think a more precise pointshooting (or hipfire as you call it) would reward good players, that know where their gun is pointing at.
I don't understand how you can like it so innacurate, to me you should be able to point shoot a guy standing 15m away no problem if you're good at knowing where you're aiming at. Because right now it's like the character has no fkin muscles to hold his weapon, like an 8 years old. And I'm fine with some vertical recoil, I just think there's way too much horizontal bouncing when not aiming, that's it.
@mefirst I'm fine with ADS shooting. The thing is what you call "hip shooting" is actually "point shooting" because the weapon is shouldered and not on the hip. In real life you would be as precise when point shooting as you are when you ADS.
There is absolutely no pattern for the recoil when point shooting, it's fully random and jumps left and right for no reason other than balancing purpose but I think it's pretty bad, it should be way more precise and not have as much horizontal recoil when point shooting. Again I'm perfectly fine with the recoil when aiming down sight, I think Sandstorm has really good gunplay, only point shooting need adjustments to be more reliable.
Here is a clip of point shooting without moving my mouse, aku is not the most accurate weapon, but this RNG horizontal recoil when point shooting is really frustrating and needs to go. I'm fine with vertical recoil but this is too much bouncing left and right, it doesn't feel natural. Point shooting IRL is really accurate if you're good, and in therms of gameplay balance I just feel like it would just be way more satisfying to be able to pointshoot more accurately.

225 hours on the game, never saw a guy that I would for sure call cheater.
For sure it's a problem in every multiplayer game andthere may be some but I never encounter them so @O-Face I think you're a bit too overwhelmed with the idea that there is cheaters everywhere my dude, just enjoy the game and get better.
Good thing that you report them when you see one tho.
@max80 If you look at the clip in O.5x speed you see that the player model just pop in late.
I got some more clips if you want to see more unrendered players shooting, this sh*t happend more than you think dude, just hard to realize when you don't have twitch clips to rewatch the action.
If think it may be caused by some optimisation they've done in the update from end of december.
They must have made so player models go unrendered when they are not in your line of sight to boost performance, but now it makes them render in with delay and causes even bigger problems.
Happened to me 1 time in 200 hours, and today it keeps happening to me "Lost connection to server" 3 games in a row. Ain't got no software blocking anything and my internet is fine.
I don't know if NWI downgraded their servers or something but it seem like there wasn't any of these problems before the patch in december.
It'll sometimes happend that player models will not render straight away when you turn your camera on them.
Here is a clip from Goggenator, you'll see that he'll turn the camera to the guy but he'll render with a delay, just after he starts shooting. Play the clip at 0.5x speed you'll clearly see the player model render in with a huge delay. His game is running on an ssd, with a good pc and internet conection.
It's a MASSIVE PROBLEM that must be solved quickly !
The non ads is uncentered and it's intended, and then when you aim it aims where your guy is pointing and centers the screen around that position. I don't really get what you're talking about. It feels fine for me, I play sniper and I do a lot of cqc with it.
Random disconnect in ranked matches need fix ASAP because people will quit playing ranked matches and never touch it again. This needs to be on top of the priority list.
Agreed old UI for kits was way better.
@whitby The thing is, you either take out croutch jumping in favor for vaulting, or you add a keybind. Because it makes crouch jumping buggy and even make you rollback sometimes.
I play bolt actions a lot, and I noticed that the change between hitscan and projectile is too brutal.
I did not make actual tests (so these are not real numbers) but I feel like at 99m(High quality textures) you aim on your target with hitscan and it hits and then at 100m projectile kicks in (when the textures go low res) you need to lead your shots like 1m before your target.
Am I crazy or other people felt that.
I believe a lower TTK would lower the skillcap and a one too high could too.
TTK was lower on the previous one because there was an unhealthy meta with AP ammo.
I think it's fine as it is, most weapons kill in 3 shots max, sure there could be further weapon balancing.
You don't want every weapon to one tap, you want to have heavy armor actually viable, and you want players that can control a precise spray, not a dirty spray and pray that a random single bullet kill your opponent.
I believe that the bullet come out aligned to the iron sight and not the barrel (I've not tested this with every weapon), This cause headpicking advantage where you barely see the head of a player behind cover but he is able to shoot you eventhough his barel is not pointing at you but still behind the cover, only the ironsight needs to be in line with the target.
I know this is a problem that is way more complicated to fix than it sounds and is linked to the 3rd person model, Bullet actually coming out of the barrel would be good but it could create other problems such as getting shot in the head while you think you're behind cover in your FPP camera but the top of your player model is picking out of cover.
