But this is not the old Insurgency
One shot kill with any weapon is just plain BS
Weapon difference causes people to choose carefully what weapon they use
I agree armor is useless & this why I never use it
I like the difference & challenges this game provides. Different weapons take different skill sets
Are there nuances in the gameplay, yes at times
Each to their own though
But I would prefer a game that is a challenge & not a game that is handed to people on a plate
So, any chance we could get a look at the source code? Like I said, I'd be glad to help get it into GitHub so that it'd be an easy lift for you. If you want to just email me the code in a ZIP, I can get it set up and give your GitHub account owner permissions.
This would be a great idea if @Pointy would agree to it
It would at least keep the program alive & add further functionality
That's correct Sawcoach start the server before firing up steam.
Billion3, good to see you could access the admin window, I may have to delete everything and start over I just can't get to the admin screen.
@Fawlty You shouldn't have to delete & start again. Just make sure youy have created the folders in the correct path:
Admins.txt in that folder
Add -AdminList=Admins to your commandline at start up
Outside friends can connect to the server fine, however any PC inside the local network are unable to. We get the password prompt, but then then the client just sits at a black screen.
I think I remember reading some others having this problem & solving it by starting the server first & then starting STEAM on the client after the server is running
First off delete your cfg file in appdata
Once that is done choose AUTO in Vid settings
I then go up one level on whatever was chosen on Texture Quality & Effects Quality
Remove the usual FPS eaters in Shadows, Motion Blur etc etc
Trial game after changing one setting at a time till you are happy
I also limit my FPS to 60 because I have a 60hz monitor
I actually get much more than 60 with a similar system to you but I would rather have constant FPS
Update worked fine @Pointy
A small issue I did find was that if you had multiple servers running at once, the player names transferred between servers
Example: Server #1 has 5 players & shows players when connected. Connect to Server #2 & it shows 2 players. Switch back to Server #1 & Server #2 player count remains & doesn't update back to the 5 players. Shows 5 players in player count but doesn't actually list them
