Agreed, I think a hotfix is in order - Though they have been aware of it for a few days now as they replied to a forum post about it in general discussion. Hopefully they fix it soon. Just some quick fix at least so that you dont get exp if you dont clear any objectives.
@rydiak thanks for making the quick ref guide. I was being dumb and typing it out over and over everytime someone asked lol - then i stumbled upon your post - I think before it got stickied too lol
EDIT: Oh and most importantly having all the cooldown times listed in there is very helpful
In game you do it at the screen where you select your character and equipment - the ability descriptions are listed where it says level 1 2 3 and 4. The reason for this is because in "Non Codex Mode" you don't start with all abilities unlocked - and instead unlock them as you play.
However for quick reference here:
(I did not make that guide)
@skube in the campaign, once you have unlocked them (by completing missions and unlocking the skills in the bottom row) then you can just equip whatever psychic skills you've unlocked at the same screen you equip weapons. You can only have 3 at a time, so you'll end up having to replace one or two eventually.
Hope that is what you're asking lol
@streumon-f8 yeah also no point in a roadmap if you havent quite figured out what you're going to do yet. Vermintide 2 (comparison comes up a lot so here it is again) has a roadmap that is now behind by like two months lol
That said, some input on whatever is coming if anything would be great. Or if you decide the game is at least DLC worthy based on sales, or not, or whatever, just would like to know eventually lol
@rotlung hey just so you know, if you're playing the campaign, you can change the difficulty while playing. (at least in PC you can, when you're playing, push escape, bring up options, then click game and you can change it there - dont try to change it from the main menu as the option only shows up while you're in game)
The factors are:
- time spent on the map (capped)
- all the stats you see on the end screen with the medals (capped)
- the number of relics found :
- the difficulty setting
Interesting - Unfortunatly this leads to the fastest way to level up being run around on hardest difficutly and grab all relics (which can be done in about 4 minutes on chapter 1 due to the small map size and close proximity of all the relics - and there is almost no opposition as well if you just sprint past the first room of enemies and lock the door) and complete no objectives and die lol (if you're buy yourself, you get medal for best kills, best deaths, best everything)
EDIT: The time spent on the map does not seem to be a big enough factor either because that whole process only takes 4 minutes but you get like 7k exp.
If you went on to complete the objectives, you hardly get any more exp, because the time spent on the map is capped and objectives arent rewarded.(chances are youll die shortly after getting the last medal even if you dont want to)
Time spent should be removed and replaced with objectives. Objectives should reward the most exp as well - relics should be secondary to that.
time spent, if you leave it in the game, should count AGAINST your score if you havent spent more than 5 minutes on a map but it still wont entirely solve the problem if objectives don't give experiance
Just to prevent speedrunning relics from being the fastest way to level up.
Yeah I've put in like 100+ hours so far - but I had a completed character (apothecary) at around 30 hours (like max armor traits, a 30,000 renown skin, maxed weapon upgraded, perk, etc) - just not "EVERYTHING" - But now I have just about 3, going on 4 characters "outfitted"
Getting everything will take like a thousand hours probably lol - but on the other hand, don't need everything anyway becaue you can only equip one thing per category xD
I invested heavily in Tactical as my next class so the feedback is interesting. I did find alot of its perks a tad underwhelming, anyone got their own specific loadouts?
Well, yeah he definitly needs work and I think the suggested skills from the OP will help a lot and seem more in line with the "tactical" aspect of the tactical marine.
That said, I personally wouldnt invest too heavily in the skull bolter - I tried the missle perk out and it just didn't see worth it. Weapons selection is just down to preference but I will say the spear of caliban seems to run out of charge (even fully upgraded) when you need it most lol. I'd go with one of the bolters or redemption personally. I would also invest in the cooldown reduction for the revive. That is because, even if you do have a chaplain, there is a good chane they got cooldown reduction for litany of war, and not their revive - (since coupled with the extra 5 seconds on litany of war perk, you can keep the whole team invulnerable all the time basically) - so you could be a little faster on the revive because of it. For perks I just went with the increased bolter penetration and powerfist speed.
Bolters arent so bad, as they are pretty darn accurate and its one of the few weapons I don't mind zooming in with - I also run the bio scanner sight so I can identify and take out those pesky missle launchers and psykers at a range.
Just my suggestions - oh and armor traits i pretty much alwayss run acid resistance. Ranged damage or armor boost or melee boost depending on how I feel that day
@sergeant-zalinto yes, you’re right. Sometimes I get the psychic echoes of Sanguinius’ death rolling through me and my eyes glaze over then I find myself with red crosses daubed on my shoulders and shin! Damn the Black Rage!
I understand, I have a very similar problem and occasionally murder our own allies in a delusional state.... poor sisters of battle.
Yeah, AOE abilities are pretty much the STANDARD (pun intended) for banners in videogames.
I would say that it would be cool, like really cool, if you could somehow incorporate back banners too - though I acknowledge that the hallways are a bit cramped for that lol, BUT maybe if they just wore it at the lobby screen or something like that - you know, just to show it off for a moment lol
Sirs, lets not turn this into the steam forums Lol.
I'm sure the developers are working on the AI to some extent at least (it's pretty bad) but you can learn to manage it as well. Either way, the point will get lost if everyone keeps rambling back and forth their opinions on the matter along with insults xD.
I have this open on my phone while I play campaign lol
Hmm I agree with buffing the uses up a bit more. I think right now you just get more heals, and of course the enemies dont do as much damage. Since psygate gives a full heal and revives teammates - I wouldnt give it unlimited - thats a bit MORE than easy don't you agree? Lol BUT A few more uses I think would be acceptable. I try to hold out on using mine at all unless the other two guys are dead and my legs are broken or something haha
Even on the hardest difficutly the game does not get TOO much harder than easy though. So perhaps easy is too hard, or hard is too easy. You be the judge Lol
If I'm the host in multiplayer they work fine. However, if I join someone elses game, they attack at normal speed (but make a sound as if they are attacking faster when I click faster). This has been tested with apothecary (increased weapon speed 1.5x) and Chaplain (increased weapon speed 1.5x) and even assault marine with perk (so 40% speed and 1.5x speed both) and none of htem attack faster when in someoen elses game.
I'll upload a video later/tomorrow if you're unable to replicate the bug.
EDIT: Friend on steam said he had same bug except he noted that the attack still registers, its just the animation that does not play. Can't confirm myself at the moment due to flying a spaceship in Elite Dangerous: Space Bus Simulator - lol
