Nowhere in my post/posts do I state 'not allowed to have fun and laugh at funny game mechanics'.
I will rephrase the sentence for you.
I find it unfortunate that people are seeing said mechanic, as a laugh rather than a flaw as I do. Everyone has a right to an opinion mate. In fact, that's why we're all here on this forum isn't it.
I don't see how a stun effect would probably kill you. We're not talking about being knocked unconscious. The simple suppression in this game would suffice. It's unfortunate that players like yourself find it 'hilarious', probably why this game is more like a Call of Duty title than the first Insurgency.
The door kill is the most stupid thing in this game currently. As you point out, you can survive two shots from a gun, yet a door being kicked in instant kills you. Also, who the fuck can kick a door off it's hinges!? The door should be kicked in at the least, not kicked off. It's as if the doors are blutacked on!
I honestly think it was just a lazy decision on their behalf. They couldn't design a knock back, stun effect from the door so they ended up making it instant kill you.
Meanwhile the AI can at times get the drop on you at close range distance and shoot the ground around your feet allowing you to freely turn and kill them. This games AI is more inconsistent with accuracy than ever before. But yes, the auto aim from a mile away grenades need to be removed.
I'd like jumping through glass left out completely as it's just as stupid (If not more stupid) as being able to kick a door completely off it's hinges to fly back and with enough force to kill a man. Jumping through a glass window would have a higher chance of killing you than a door being kicked into you. Both of these are fuckin stupid and should be left out and removed from the game.
@marksmanmax. Well I find being able to kick a door completely off it's hinges with enough force to fly into a person on the other side killing them outright rather stupid in a game where it can take 2 bullets to kill a player. I also never stated this game was a Milsim.
I'm happy with the recoil. Some weapons could actually have their recoil increased in my opinion. The machine guns (Regardless of realism) need to have a fair amount of recoil, other wise the class just becomes a one man army, blazing away from the hip slaughtering all who oppose him/her. If you aren't using the bi-pod than you aren't using the class the way it's designed to be played.
AI grenades on the other hand I tend to agree with you on. I wouldn't mind the rate at which they were thrown if they changed the amount of cooked grenades thrown. One or two here and there isn't so bad, but majority of the time in my experience they land and pop as though it was an RPG. The Molotovs are the worst, countless times now I have seen a molotov get launched into the air from an AI I can't even see one hundred meters away. They get thrown from such range that when they come down they land on player's heads hahaha.
Yes to all of this. Especially a 4x hunting scope for snipers and greased bolt as the default bolt action speed.
(Greased bolt.. What the fuck were they thinking, seriously. I'd love to meet the imbecile that made that decision.)
Would also love to see the bayonets appear. At the moment it looks really stupid when a player is killed from the poke of a barrel. The bloke that decided a poke should kill someone is probably the same that thinks a door can kill you.
Yeah I know what you mean. The AI sight radius must be around the 180+ mark I reckon, instead of the standard 120 most games use. Even right now on the first insurgency if you peaked a corner and a bot was walking past, he doesn't spin round to lock on target, if he hasn't seen you he'll keep walking.
The AI are definitely better, we all agree on that. I still think some things need fine tuning, the grenade/molotov spamming is a bit insane at times. I can't count the amount of times I've seen a molotov get hurled into the sky from hundreds of meters away only for it to fly through a window and land on a bloke camping a defensive obj. Some of these bots have artillery guns for arms! haha
Another thing, AI accuracy at close range is really inconsistent. I've found that at close range 0-10 meters bots tend to become really stupid all of a sudden and shoot at the ground around a player rather than the players torso. This even happens when the AI get the drop on players. They need better accuracy and better reaction time at close range in my opinion.
'The bridge on Hideout (Insurgent) is the best cap / defend point in the game currently in my opinion'
Exactly. It's a fairly large cap zone with plenty of areas like you mention for support classes (Sniper/Machinegunners) to set up, plus as a key position (A bridge) it makes sense as a point to capture and hold. A lot of points across maps are tiny rooms on a floor of a building, I can't think of a single compound area that involves a building and surrounding wall as a capture zone. With the release date closing in fast (Dec 13) I doubt they will alter anything now.
