I would really like to be involved in the PS4 play-testing.
I've been playing Necromunda (40k, BB, Mordheim also) since it was first out. I'm a sculptor, painter and designer and have been waiting for some form of computer version for nearly 20 years. Would love to be involved!
Hah, not bad. Was he trying to unload other prints?
Quite the backlog of marines, cringing at the pin washing myself lol. What chapter you going for?
Really liked the old escher aswell, think the juve with the pick was my fav, made me think of Lori Petty as tank girl. My fav of the old stuff was the hive scum with the two bolt pistols or maybe the Cawdor with the grenade launcher.
Wait till you get into the new Necro kits, the Escher i thought were a complex build.. till I opened Van Saar, felt I had to go sub assembly om them.
I can only imagine, I've never seen an original up-close. The printed copies are stunning, the original must be something else. Was it an E-bay effort?
Same boat myself, loving the new content.
I've got the Van Saar in painting just now. Got gang models and a MDF near full replica of the original Necro box scenery/ scatter terrain material backing up. It will be doomsday the time I get to them with other painting on lol.
Really looking forward to new Ratskins and spyers, never got into them first time around. Thinking about going conversion heavy on them. Models may be that nice I wont want to, is the case with these finecasts.
What are you working on yourself?
Would like to see them ditch hit points all together and go to wounds, like the table. A digitized rules port would be great. Get folk into the hobby aswell like blood bowl. Could possibly lend weight to each other.
Main thing I'm wanting is to have a custom campaign. Can pick your campaign type like dome rush etc from the new version which could change over time keeping things fresh and also a challenge. Starting with an experienced and or random gang with it's own character forcing you, if you wish, out your comfort zone. Even starting with a small struggling gang and a legendary character. A tactical map between games where you can see loads of oppertunities which may provide bonuses to your trade, maybe an advantage in a battle in an ajoined zone, maybe aincient STC tech with crazy benefits.. Have the different campaign random happenings month to month or every couple of months or even chose how often before you start a game.
The potential for free form replayability is massive and I hope it is. Been waiting on a Necro game for over 20 years.. kinda terrified aswell.
Beautiful print my friend! Remember seeing that artwork in one of the books or WD or something. Can't remember now as it's soo long ago.
Shame about the price, that's a sore one.
Bet you are looking forward to the new Spyers then! Or maybe dread lol, wasnt happy with the Cawdor myself, my old gang.
All for stregnthening the weaker weapons. That's Necro - everything can kill you, say a juve with a knife can still get lucky.
Like the functionality on the TT with the bonuses weapons give you I.E. The fighting knife with backstab giving you attacks with +1str from behind. Makes it still very dangerous.
With rapid fire I thought you would mean being able to distribute hits to targets within a radius of the initial target.
Perhaps having auto fire as a random mechanic like a roll for shota with ammo count or auto fire with no ammo count and the jam/ammo rolls?
I just got an E-mail back from Rogue Factor saying they are deep in production and can't give details, they will do this globally in conjunction with Focus Interactive.
Not much to go on, pretty quick and warm response from them though which is nice.
I'm hoping they are having a look at the forums and taking things on-board. I'll imagine there are more than a few Necro vets on here, including myself willing to help out.
A chaos marine wouldn't be there itself at the base of a hive lore speaking. Cults and cultists, fair enough, that's how the taint is meant to work and spread.
All three, Chaos, Eldar and Orks are mentioned as a suggestion for the purge scenario in Outlanders, with no rules.
