@sergeant-zalinto I second this. We could even have special weekend events where we need to kill a lot of genestealers together as a community, by this I mean that there would be a global kill counter to which every player can contribute and together we would receive rewards for completing this.
The only requirement for the community rewards would be to contribute with atleast a single kill or complete at least a single mission. (like how For Honor handles global events)
I've been playing For Honor lately and they have this pretty cool system that a bunch of games have, where you get daily contracts/orders to, say, defeat X amount of enemies or complete X amount of matches and then you get some ingame currency and xp for completing them.
It encourages coming back regularly to do these simple objectives for rewards and I think it could be implemented into this game as well, it would also make renown less lvl up-dependent. We could have things like "eliminate X amount of broodlords/some other type/genestealers in general as a team" or "complete X amount of missions". Maybe even one for grabbing a couple of relics. These could be up for a couple of days or something like that.
@streumon-f8 Thanks for the reply! I agree that the most flashy of demons would not be right there with the general theme, but to me Slaaneshi (or some other aligned) abominations descending hall pillars etc would be close enough.
Oh well, maybe we'll get some other 40k horde shooter for that, then :p
So, I know this is a bit early and unlikely, but lore-wise Chaos presence on space hulks is somewhat common and demons put up quite the fight, so I was wondering that could this be both refreshing and be a grand addition to the enemy types roster, eventually.
Obviously these two galactic menaces (Chaos & Nids) would not be fighting side-by-side in any mission, but Chaos would rather appear in their own special missions. Now, this would exclude the traditional Chaos Space Marines, but be focused on the cultist and demon side. Fighting hordes of demons backed up by rogue psykers (who would be more powerful than their genestealer counterparts, speaking of which, hybrid psykers need more abilities :p ), cultist minions and maybe even some unholy machines supported by a couple of DarkMech dudes would be pretty epic and wouldn't be that much off from the core style of the game.
I just think that the game is not like the old Space Hulk games and needs different content, since in many FPS games, especially horde shooters, variation in the enemy roster improves the game.
Then again, that's a lot of work etc, but there just aren't that many different types of Genestealers in the fluff and I wanted to put my thoughts somewhere, so I did
So far so good, I see that new stuff and fixes are coming in, which is really nice. You people didn't leave the game to die like many others would. I'm wondering if there will be new space hulk maps and maybe even other Chapters for one to pick for visuals. Chapter schemes would of course be a multiplayer/solo non-story mission-only feature.
