I do agree that chemical mortars need a buff by making them effective indoors. A lot of times I will find myself in a cloud of yellow smoke and not taking any damage because I’m in a building. However, buffing them could be a mistake as everyone would feel forced to bring a mask, effectively making gas mortars useless and leaving everyone with one less supply point. My solution would be to either restrict gas masks to certain classes, or add a small cache at/near every objective where the security team can pick one up.

Occupation wasn’t a bad game mode, but it wasn’t as popular as push or skirmish in the first game. I’d also like to see game modes in this that use much more of the map than occupy.

Ambush was a really fun game, and I would say that NWI made a mistake by not including it in this.

But honestly I we should be getting a new game mode that we haven’t seen before. A big problem with Sandstorm is that it just doesn’t offer enough improvement and new gameplay over the previous title. I don’t know how much of this is on Mikee, but NWI in general really seems to have made a mistake by not putting enough emphasis on game modes and maps.

It doesn’t really make much sense that you can’t flip the magnifier, but Grumf does have a good point about it. My solution would be to give both sides a new, actual 2x scope and make the red dot + magnifier cost 4-5 supply points.

@cyoce Most people would prefer normal ADS, but some just like the free aim. Doesn’t hurt to give people the option to use it.

@zucchini Wow, poor you. You can’t see anyone at range? I don’t know why NWI hasn’t given you a personal cheat that highlights enemies. And the movement is so slow that you can’t cross an open road without getting killed? That’s a shame. No, but the real shame is that NWI drastically changed armor and practically made armor useless by making everything a two shot kill regardless of how much armor they have. You know why that’s a shame? Because NWI hasn’t completely given in to exactly what you wanted. Despite how many comments you’ve posted on TTK threads about how everything should be a one shot kill, the devs still seem to not want to cater to you and only you. I’ve never seen such horrible treatment of the customers. You should get a lawyer, maybe that will teach them that rendering armor completely useless is not enough for you.

But I am glad to see you posting this after you apparently read another post from a guy who thinks we feel bad that he quit the game. However you did it better because while the other guy brought up fundamental issues he perceived with the game, you made sure the issue is the devs gave what the majority could at least compromise on, and not what you wanted in the game. And when you did bring up fundamental issues with the game, you made sure to be hyperbolic enough that we really don’t care.

So yeah I just wanted to know that it’s really horrible to see that you’re quitting Insurgency and that we really care and that we, along with NWI, will keep crying out hearts out until you come back.
