Does anyone know what is the reward of this objective? It is the first mission in the Agripinaa sector, the one in which the Tyranids have to break an Imperial blockade.

The secondary objective is escorting a few ships to the other side. I accomplished it but I don't believe it gave a reward.

I imagine it would half the prices of the Tyranid system upgrades, but currently it does nothing.

Or does it have any other effect I'm missing?

Wouldn't it be better to give the Ancient One as an unique ship like the Gloriana in the Imperial campaign?

The issue is not pyro acid itself, you don't see acid Voidprowlers or acid Razorfiends.

The issue is 2 particular ships: acid Hive ships and acid Krakens. Technically also caustic Drones, but those are the slowest ship in the game and quite fragile so it balances it out.

But the rest of pyro acid ships are fine or even still quite weak.

While Tyranids are quite strong in the moment, the entire idea that they shouldn't outdps other factions is wrong. Tyranids have plenty of ships whose only purpose is dakka, otherwise they wouldn't have guns.

In addition, we are talking of mostly short range firepower on the slowest faction that also cannot focus fire. You can alternate ships to protect damaged ones simply by moving them slightly behind your other ships.

@doctoryog
Still, almost half of the the top 14 are Tyranids.

We are hilariously over represented on the leaderboard, so yeah expect nerfs.

@fosil
Can we see the math for the "2.5 times more durable" claim?

The corrosive drone escort has slightly better dps per point than the kraken, the major downside being how slow they are.

But because they are much cheaper they may be even more durable for their cost.

@ahriman
Maybe they are talking about the Ancient One, that thing is 40km in length.

So if I'm reading the patch notes correctly, we are getting a buff to our shooting (a 25% increase in rate of fire), plus range buff to plasma with tracking senses, harder to crit claws, torpedoes and tentacles, a regeneration buff to Hive Ships and point decreases to basically everything.

Last patch was horrible to Tyranids, so how do this buffs change things?

Honestly while I completely agree, does anyone has a suggestions on taking Imperial Navy Fleets? currently having issues with all the ram damage.

also keep the game in low speed to dodge those cannons.

If you are using the TT rules, the movement also would need to be different. For example All Ahead Full wasn't a 200% increase in speed.

Taking the long realspace way would take years, decades or even centuries.

But we have examples of Eldar using the Warp in novels like Valedor.

Fluff wise the Eldars do use the Warp. Sure they prefer to use the Webway when they can, but not everything is connected to the Webway, or at least not with passages wide enough to fit ships.

Tyranids aren't truly characters, they are a faceless intergalactic super predator. If you want to sympathize with them, you need to view everything else as prey and have fun when you turn their ships into lifeless hulks.
