Just wanted to add a pic showing the issue on the hardware (running update 7)
I tried MAX and LOW* settings and even though the FPS is terribly low the system remains idle, even on *lowest detail and 50% resolution scale in 720p! (red box)
The red circle is a small fight and the green arrows are larger waves.
I have made this thread to consolidate all my ideas into one thread instead of creating a new one each time i have an idea.
Thanks for looking and please feel free to talk about any of the ideas and give your views:
More options to change - There are a lot of options to tweak in UE4 and I personally don't feel the set of pre-sets in game gives enough control over certain aspects. I understand not all users want a huge list of complicated sounding settings but the pre-set's can remain, just add more to the advanced section.
Like can we pick between FXAA and TAA in there, and choose other resolutions, turn off the film grain and various FX separately, have sliders for draw/fog/shadow/ etc radius/distance . Audio settings like max channels to use, sliders for weapons / Tyranid screams separate. etc etc
Im sure you get the idea, just more to tweak
Older idea's (separate threads):
Could there be implemented a way to scale the UI, some of the stuff is a little too big for my liking but its personal preference.
Just a slider or ini tweak.
I keep having little ideas to improve things and i hope you don't mind me keep adding them here like this.
Would you rather me create a single thread with all my own personal ideas & suggestions in one place?
Since an Apothecary is vital and one is not always available we need a different way to heal but one that is less effective than an Apothecary. I have had a few ideas on the matter.
- A reward system based on Kills that fill the Fevour bar and result in a heal when filled.
- There could be a passive 1% health gained every X seconds (simulate space marine regenerative abilities).
- A skill that is unlocked or weapon that grants health on strike.
- Consumables "repair paste" that are dropped by enemy's that can give small repairs when used. Can carry a limited amount.
- Interact with Servo Skulls around the map that will give you a small repair.
Thanks for reading and any input / opinions on the idea's.
If there were different ideas for consumables like damage buffs/defense buffs/ability cooler-downer-thingeys
They could be implemented as micro-transactions if that is something you were looking at to make some extra revenue.
I would buy things like this depending on how much and what they are im sure others would, but im sure some would see it as "Pay to win" - But an idea to get around that is to allow a free "daily amount" for everyone and allow people to purchase EG: "100x MediPack for $0.99 "
And as its not a competitive PVP game there is no issue of player on player balance issues.
Devs you really need to be ONLY working on this horde problem until its fixed because its absolutely game breaking!
And all the posts and comments about it are ignored?
Can you please converse with your player base and help us understand what is causing it, or what you are doing to try to fix it.
Because at the moment it seems like to the team its a non-issue? Its almost like the issue is being ignored? there are never any responses to this issue no matter how many people post about it on the steam forums etc.
Do you acknowledge you have performance issues with the game, or do you class it as " working as intended"?
