Well, I was able to start the game again without the error after deleting my save game data from the PS4 OS menus. It's in the settings, saved game data, then find BB2 save game. Deleting that deleted my game history, but the team I last created before the error was still there. but I deleted that too, just to be certain, and to start over again.
Hope that's the end of that bug.
What issue exactly?
If your profile was already locked before the patch ("problem creating or accessing profile") you have to delete your saved data, however the problem shouldn't reappear.

If it was easy to fix, they'd have fixed it already. So I am guessing it required big changes and/or testing. It was mentioend that a patch fixing this is coming this month, so maybe we should remain patient a little bit longer?
At least they're communicating and working on the issue, which is much better than EA who've crapped the online side of their NHL game, it's almost unplayable. And they haven't said anything or even acknowledged the issue even exists. I know EA is a poor comparison, but anyways.
I think I leveled a player after an Eternal League game (not sure), and I moved one player up in the roster, because there was a gap there due to a player I fired (lost STR)... could this have corrupted the profile?
I have had only one crash with the game so far, and this happened just when I moved a player in different place in my roster (with triangle?). The game let me do that, and then exited me in the PS4 screen. I was able to play after that, so I didn't think anything more of it... and it was with a team I have already deleted, as it was before the latest patch, so I started a new team for the Eternal league.
