agree with all the above...this is first and foremost a multiplayer game yet it is so darn difficult to get a multiplayer game
I think something like the current 'lobby' for Skirmish games is ideal, this is where everyone waits .... then with the addition of some chat window players could hook up and then decide on which side and which map
Is the only reason for Quickmatch is to get ranked on leader boards?
If correct then of course you have to keep rankings for those that have worked their way up so maybe retain the ranking for system just for the original maps?
...having a more open lobby would help get games on the non official maps as well
...you kind of sit there searching having no clue whether anyone else is also searching....
a lobby for people wanting to play makes more sense so at least players can see if anyone is around...once you're hooked up then you can decide which side, which map etc....
I have not played the board game for a very long time but i am sure some maps had 1, 2 or 3 blips per turn
Have i missed this option in map design?
...Also i cannot see an option to eliminate xx number of GS in xx turns as an objective.
Sure i can see eliminate xx starting forces and then blips can be placed in the map but is there an option to eliminate xx number of GS in xx turns? (think 'Defend' map from the board game)
As titled and judging by others i am not alone.
Given Space Hulk is about two opponents are there any plans to develop the way players can find each other?
As i see it players want to play 'Ranked' games to improve their score so what happens if players choose the same side and then search?...potentially no-one finds a game?
Ideally there should be a lobby with a list of waiting players wanting to a game regardless of which side they want to play as. Then it should be easier to hook up with someone - like Skirmish mode i guess..but match results add to rank scores
So what is 'Public' Quickmatch for?
and why can Skirmish matches not be ranked?
